”Once an heir, now a leader. I only hope I can do as well as my father wanted...”She was really beating herself up for this, claiming that it was her fault for letting Sagi go to bed. Imara's grief only angered Ammar at what the spider had done. How had this happened? It slipped in like a shadow and took one of their own, with barely a trace. No one had been awakened or stirred by it. This creature was truly one of predatory make.
His heart raced slightly as she pressed her face into his chest, not sure how to handle being so close to someone like this. Other than hold Imara, Ammar didn't know what else to do. He rubbed her back, trying to calm her down, "You cannot blame yourself, Imara. That creature came in silent and with dark intentions. Even I had not heard its approach,"
The words made his jaw clench. He was so angered by this news, "Imara, come with me,"
Ammar slowly guided the centaur away from the herd's sleeping ground, towards the forest where the creek ran. He hoped it would help calm her down from her sorrow. Water usually helped him.

⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉Imara didn't have anything to say. She remained quiet, thinking to herself. Confusion and hurt clogged her mind. It felt against her being to be so weak, like she was now. To just stop being as fearless as she was every day other than this one. But, there was also a glint of happiness. She was glad that she wasn't storming off on a search party at the moment. Just letting herself be held was all the comfort in the world that she could have ever imagined. Listening to Ammar's words, she also heard his heart beating. It set a quick beat to his words, the background music of the situation at hand. He told her not to blame herself, that the spider was not detected by anyone, all while rubbing her back with a gentle touch that surprised her. Surprising, at how gentle he was being with her, trying to calm her down. Without saying a word, she followed him as he led her through the forest, slipping away from the camp in silence. They arrived at the creek, and Imara stopped, pausing to take in the scene. When had she last been here? She couldn't remember ever just stopping and taking a break down by the water. Slowly stepping closer to the creek, she peered down at it's crystal clear waters. Tiny fish swam around in the current, sparkling in the sunlight from their shiny silver scales. She sighed, trying to empty her mind of all things troublesome. Her head turned back to Ammar, a faint smile on her face. "Thank you." she said, barely a whisper. Her head needed to be clear and flowing in a positive direction, like the creek before her, in order to find her missing friend. ⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉

”Once an heir, now a leader. I only hope I can do as well as my father wanted...”How many words could Ammar say to help ease Imara's suffering? Could he even find the right ones? Would he just stumble on them like a lost child? He could not promise her anything, because Ammar was completely certain that the spider had done away with Imara's greatest friend. Ammar could not tell her that they would find Sagi and bring her back to the herd, he couldn't even promise revenge, because he had not been able to find the creature.
Ammar was as helpless as Sagi had been. Attacked in the night while asleep, whisked away into the darkness, gone forever. What fear had the child experienced, being taken away? With no one knowing? She must have felt so very alone, and it troubled Ammar to think of such thoughts.
Instead, he approached Imara, "If you need anything, Imara... I am here to be of assistance,"
That's all he could really do.

Achaius was furious! First the centaurs invaded his home, then this man promised him power to taste centaur meat. Achaius should have known it was too good to be true! The man had simply vanished with the centaur that he, Achaius, had caught. Achaius had been tricked! Achaius was being used the whole time and he went along with it, foolishly.
His fangs clicked together in frustration as he scurried along through the forest. He would make this man pay. Achaius swore that he would. But how? Oh, Achaius wished there was a better way to make this thieving man pay, but he had no choice. He could not get far as an acromantula before people would attempt to kill him.
Achaius had to seek the help of the centaurs, ironically.
He broke into a clearing where two centaurs were. He froze, noticing that the one male there was the leader that he had feasted on months ago. Achaius backed away slightly as he spoke quickly, "Do not harm me!"
Before they could attack him with arrows and other weapons that would pierce into his body, Achaius quickly added, "I know where your centaur is,"

⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉The water. Imara forced herself to focus on the water. On the way it flowed slowly and freely, in complete control of itself. That's how she needed to be. She needed to be in control of herself, of her emotions, of her thoughts. Although she didn't want to admit it, and she figured Ammar didn't want to either, she knew that Sagi was gone forever. Her best friend, stolen from her. But, she had to focus, to be in control. Had to tell herself that it wasn't her fault. But, would she believe herself? Even now, she didn't know what to believe. "I might just take you up on your offer sometime, Ammar." She would need a friend to get through this. Someone stronger than she was. A flicker of pain aroused in her chest, the part that held her love for Sagi, she guessed. Do not break down, Imara. You must be strong for her. She would want you to hold your head up high and go on. To be like the creek. Her thoughts comforted her, until she heard rustling in the forest surrounding her and Ammar. Her head turned at a voice, one she would have never guessed to have heard again. "Do not harm me!" it had said. The spider. Sagi's kidnapper. Imare immediately pulled her bow and loaded an arrow in it, pointing it at the spider's head. Her face was scrunched in fury. "Give me a reason why I should not skewer you, spider. One good reason." Then, he gave it to her. He knew where Sagi was. But, of course he did. "I would hope so. You are the one who stole her away from us. Tell us where she is now, or you are dead where you stand." she added. She knew that Ammar was the one that wanted revenge on this spider, so she would not fire her weapon. Yet. For now, a good bluff never hurt anyone. ⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉

”Once an heir, now a leader. I only hope I can do as well as my father wanted...”Ammar had been watching Imara. Standing by the creek like she was, the sun breaking through some of the leaves. The light was cast down and highlighted her eyes, her hair shone, and her skin looked like porcelain. He was almost afraid to touch her with how delicate she looked at that moment. As though a simple touch would shatter her to pieces.
He slowly approached when she said the words. The words that she did need him around. It warmed him, but he reminded himself that she was speaking out of grief. Sadness overwhelmed him and he couldn't force his feelings on her yet. It was far too soon.
The sound of leaves rustling nearby put Ammar on edge, and he was by Imara's side within seconds when the giant creature showed itself. Already Imara had her weapon pointed at the spider, ready to shoot if it tried anything, "You come into our home, steal away one of our children, and expect us to welcome you warmly?"
But then it mentioned that it knew where Sagi was. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a small, subtle shift in Imara's stance. Only he, who had watched her carefully these last few months, could have picked up on that small adjustment. She was probably very reluctant to give this spider a chance.

"Achaius was tricked!" the spider hissed, the anger apparent in his voice and the way his body seemed to tense up, "A strange human came to me last night. Promised me power. Wanted a young half horse,"
He clicked his fangs in rage, "I had no choice. Poor, poor Achaius was against a wizard," he sighed, remembering the promise of centaur flesh and then the trick. He had been fooled to believe in this wizard, but, looking back, what choice did he have? The man could have easily kill the spider.
"And, at one point, this place was my home!" he hissed. But that was no matter now.
He turned and scurried away before he could get shot at. He hoped they would hurt that man who had taken away his prize. No one betrayed Achaius and got away with it!

⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉In a mere moment, Ammar was at her side, ready to assist her if the spider lunched at them in attack. She was glad for that, glad to have someone to watch her back. As the spider spoke, Imara did not lower her bow, keeping it locked on his forehead. He was clicking his fangs as he spoke, and it made her shudder. Why was this creature so disgusting, even in talking? He spoke of a strange wizard coming to him, asking for one of their herd. But, she felt as if there was something he was hiding. He was not this 'poor, poor Achaius' that he spoke of. As soon as he fled, Imara lowered her bow. Her mind was hard at work, processing the information the spider, Achaius, had told them. "She-She wasn't eaten by him. She could, possibly, still be alive. Out there, somewhere." Her head turned towards Ammar, her eyes showing a spark of hope. "What do you think, Ammar? What should we do? If there's a chance that she's out there... I need her, Ammar. I need her back." She would accept his judgement on the situation, even if it was to stay here in the forest. Whatever her leader told her to do, she would follow. ⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉

”Once an heir, now a leader. I only hope I can do as well as my father wanted...”Honestly, he was floored. Ammar would never have expected an acromantula to come to his worst enemies, to tell them something about their own kind. It wasn't doing it out of kindness or out of a sense of pity. Obviously, it was angered by the deal falling through, but did it really matter to Ammar? Honestly the spider had told them what they needed to know, and why was he to look a gift horse in the mouth?
Sagi was alive, somewhere, hopefully. There was more of a chance with the wizardkind than the barbaric spider. The acromantula would act out of vengeance or a natural need to feast. Wizardkind always had motives for something. There was a chance!
Ammar tugged on Imara's arm, "Come on!" he was already hurdling back towards the sleeping ground, his hooves beating the earth as he raced back to announce his plans to the herd. He didn't know where to start looking, but maybe if they all conglomerated, made their numbers known, then the wizardkind could help them.
When he arrived at the sleeping ground he yelled at all his warriors, "Sagi has been taken from us! A wizard has done it! We must ride to the wizardkind's castle!"
And then do what? His thoughts were heavy, but they had to try something. Sagi might be out there, alive, alone.

☾ Serallius ☽ A roaming centaur... ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ Serallius woke up from a good night's rest awhile ago. He had been at his resting spot, sharpening his spear heads when Ammar spread the news about Sagittarius. The foal was taken from the herd?
Ever since the acromantula's attack, Sagi had been spending long periods of time away from the herd, running, practicing. Ser didn't worry about the young centaur until now, when she was declared missing. What worried him more was that wizards took them, which threw his trust for their kinds into a loop. How? Why?
Grabbing his bow and arrow, he was ready in the matter of a few moments. He would see, first-hand, whether the wizards truly committed such a sin. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛

⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉Waiting for a reply, Imara began thinking. She tried to put some pieces together in this twisted puzzle, but was finding it difficult. Why would a wizard want a centaur? And why Sagi? Why not her, or Ammar? They must want one that is smaller, but why? At this point, she had grown tired of the word why. Ammar grabbed her arm and pulled her away from the creek, towards the camp. She ran as fast as she could, keeping up with him, her hooves beating out a steady rhythm on the soil beneath them. When they arrived at the camp, Ammar called the warriors together, explaining the situation and that they all would travel to the castle. The castle. She hadn't been there since Ammar had been injured by the very spider that helped them only minutes ago. Her bow and arrows were already on her person, so she was ready to head out. "Ready when you are." she said to Ammar and Ser. Who else would join them on their quest? ⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉⇉

Calder the Centaur ••.•´¯`•.•• ••.•´¯`•.••´`•.(`•.¸ ¸.•´).•´`•Calderian, already stressed, heard that one of the herd had been taken by the Wizard. He felt a fresh surge of anger and trotted over to where the other Centaurs where. If they were going to storm the castle then he would fight valiantly beside them. He got an arrow ready.

A light tune was filling the air around Val. She spent most of her time playing the hand crafted flute. Though she could, she really didn't like hunting and tended not to take part in the hunting party. She did the gathering and getting fire wood. It was more her style to collect and dig up things to go with that the hunters caught and it didn't weigh on her mind. She was about to go out and gather some more wood, since their pile was starting to get low. She moved into the main camp since she tended to stick to the outsides and noticed that something was amiss. Everyone was in an uproar, so she moved over to the main group. Listening to them talk she heard that Sagittarius was taken and that others planned to seek out the wizards. While she wasn't the first to go into action, she would support her herd. Going back to her resting place, she got her weapons and pulled on her thick leather covering. Once prepared, she rejoin the group. "I am with the herd." She announced with a slight bow to Ammar. “The earth has music for those who listen.”

((Posted with Kat's permission)) There are things that not even I wish to remember… ♦ Linda Bella ♦ Linda hobbled down the stairs from the Headmistress' Office, slow and steady. There was no need to rush this. She had been preparing herself for this moment for a few months now. Even though her joints disagreed with her movements, she forced them forward, knowing that the very fate of the world hung in the balance. Not just for the wizards, but for the vampires as well. Knowing this, there was no way that Linda was just gonna sit in the comfort of Inari's - and what used to be her's as well - office. There was no convincing her of anything else. She had returned overseas to do this. In fact, she had even suffered injuries on her time abroad. Hence why she was struggling to walk and in so much pain. She was in her prime and was struggling with a strange form of arthritis. It was premature, she was sure. Triggered by all the running, all the hiding, jumping, crawling, and fighting she had done in Germany. Her 'friend' calling her out there to give the vampires a new perspective to fighting The Family hadn't expected that Linda would put herself in danger's way. She was a Gryffindor, after all. Trouble was their middle name. So, Linda had fought alongside the vampires, watching them as they fell. Watched as they scattered like ash to the wind. She made her way out of the castle, down the grounds, towards the big, thick forest of her past. Past, because this would be the first time since being a Headmistress at Hogwarts that she would step into the forest's darkness. Even with the sun shining overhead, the forest seemed to absorb it, turn it into shadows. Linda was not afraid of it, however, and emerged herself into its depths. She had an idea of where she was going, but decided to pull out her wand to help guide her. Sort of like a metal detector, it helped her find life signs. It must have been at least ten minutes since she first stepped into the forest that she found what she was looking for. Stepping over all the stones, fallen logs, and twigs, Linda finally came to the sleeping grounds of the centaurs. They were planning to rush into war. Just like her 'friend' had predicted they would. The centaurs did not understand the ways of the wizards, because their own kind would not turn on them as quickly as the wizards would on their own. There was no easy translation to this language barrier. "Ammar, my have you grown," she smiled, leaning on a tree trunk. She was weak, breathing heavy from her trip here, "I haven't seen your face in so long," slowly, she began to approach. Again, not rushing, because it may very well change the whole fate of the world. She took a deep breath, "Ammar, an organization named The Family, has taken your centaur. They are professional killers," Linda paused for more breath, then continued, "There is someone who can help you find her. His name is Strike and, before you ask, I know where he is," when she had approached close enough to the leader, she gave them the directions to Dogweed and Deathcap. At the same time, she insisted that they would help the centaurs find their missing kin. Linda would give her word if they needed it, but she was sure that, by this point, Ammar knew he could trust Linda. …My past is littered with broken memories.
