Sometimes he forgot how much Micha liked to tease him and make him squirm. When asked if he missed him, Samuel answered honestly. He had hoped he needy text messages would be more than enough to prove that he wanted to see him. Still, Micha continued to tease him. Again, he groaned. ”Love, kindness, affection, my heart.” he replied, naming a few. ”Have you eaten yet? I could order you something and it’ll probably be here when you get here.” Samuel flopped back to lay on the couch. He didn’t know what more he could offer him. If it was material things, he could likely have them delivered by tomorrow, but there was little he could do at this time of day, besides going to a brick and mortar store to retrieve it.

Samuel didn’t know what the man wanted to eat and he wasn’t entirely sure if he would like what he ordered for him. Hopefully it would good enough, if not they could order again when Micha got here. He was excited but also nervous to see him. He didn’t want yesterday’s discussion to ruin everything. He hoped that they could talk and have a nice meal together at the very least. If he didn’t want to stay after, that was fine. He couldn’t force him to stay, yesterday was proof of that.
After ordering, he texted Micha to let him know that his food was ordered. It didn’t take long before the man responded to thank him. Samuel smiled and laid his phone down while he watched television. The minutes passed before the doorbell rang. Samuel sat up, and pocketed his phone. He walked the hall to the foyer, he crossed to the panel on the wall, seeing someone was at the gate. ”Can I help you?” he said, speaking through the intercom. ” I have an order for a Sam Davis” the man replied. Samuel pressed the button to allow the man through the gate and watched him slowly proceed. Moving towards the door, he unlocked it and stepped out on to the porch. He watched the man round the bend and came to a stop. Samuel stepped down the steps and thanked the man as he took his food. He watched a little as the car followed the driveway back out and heard the gates clank in the distance.
Going back inside, Samuel took his oversized bag of goods and went back inside. He wondered if it would be rude to start or should he wait for Micha. His mouth watered as the smells from the bag infiltrated his nostrils. God, he hoped Micha wasn’t walking here this time. Returning to the living room, Samuel began to unload his food and spread it out on the coffee table. He snorted a laugh when he saw the size of his phó. ”This is small?” he said to himself. It was big enough for at least three people. Rising once more, he went to the kitchen to gather two bowls, plates, and silverware. He came back, setting them side by side.
He continued to track Micha’s order until it arrived some thirty minutes later. He kept his own food covered, only taking so much as a spring roll while he waited. When Micha’s food arrived, he met the driver outside and took it to the living room as well. Looking at the spread he might have ordered too much. But he had ordered Micha’s favorites or at least items he knew he frequently ordered. Samuel laid those out as well, taking up what space was left of the table.
It wasn’t too long after that his bell rang a third time that night. Samuel all but skipped to the front door. He took a moment to contain himself, then answered the door. ”Hey,” he said, smiling. Stepping forward, he pressed a sweet kiss to his cheek. ”Come on in.”

He wasn't so cruel as to kick him out after one meal and a quick chat. After all, he knew how far away Micha was currently staying from him and could probably estimate just how much his transportation fare is. If things turned sour, Micha was more than welcome to use one of the bedrooms in the mansion and stay as long as he needed. Given their good conversation from earlier, Samuel was somewhat hopeful that it wouldn't come down to that.
He had finished arranging the table and was feeling anxious by the time Micha arrived. Samuel made his way to the front door and greeted him warmly. Stepping aside, he allowed him inside and shut the door behind him. He waited while Micha removed his shoes and motioned for him to follow. Leading him out of the foyer, Samuel went back down the hall and into the living room. "Have a seat...I may have gone a little overboard." he confessed, stepping around the couch to reveal the spread. Samuel sat back down in his previous spot and picked up a large serving spoon. "But there's phó, chicken fried rice, spring rolls, orange chicken, steamed rice, lo mein noodles, and at least six or seven fortune cookies." As Samuel named each food, he pointed to it with the spoon. Indeed, he had gone a little over, but it was fine. At least they had plenty of options to choose from.
