First anime? IIRC, that woulda been Battle Angel Alita.
Favorite anime? Hard telling. There's quite a bit to list. Barely ever will I watch romance unless it hits that "sweet spot" for me.
Favorite manga? Would hafta be Battle Angel Alita (with Last Order) and Elfen Lied. Don't get me wrong - the anime of them were epic - but the manga added a ton more detail. Shame the anime did't last as long, just like some others I like.

My favorite manga is Nisekoi and Fairy Tale

I like surreal anime and manga in general.
Current favs are Cat Soup and Mononoke.
All-time favs gonna be Ghost in the Shell, Akira and Paranoia Agent.
My first anime was some little mermaid adaptation from the 80s when I was very little, I remember liking the strange way things were drawn compared to my other videos and the strong, evocative atmosphere (there was hardly any dialogue). Not really anime but have always been a raving Akira Kurosawa fan since seeing Seven Samurai when I was a child.
