Alaine wasn't sure what the male thought about everything he just told him. In fact, he didn't even know why he was telling him his business. It wasn't as if the male had asked, nor was he too sure the male even cared. He wasn't looking for sympathy or pity, that was one thing for sure. If he wanted that, he could just talk with some random day nanny over in Central Park anytime he wanted. Alaine didn't understand why he was so compelled to try to keep a conversation going with this person. After all they only just met today, it wasn't like they were going to turn into best friends or something. Even if they did by some miracle become friends, he highly doubted that they would ever be that close. Alaine met the males gaze as he listened to his words. He understood what he was trying to tell him, but nothing was sinking in. Yes, they were both being stupid for not wanting to take better care of themselves, but at least Alaine was trying. Even if he didn't do it on a regular basis, he kept himself in range and that was better than sitting there doing nothing. If he was than he was sure to have lost a limb or two by now, if not worse. And that, now that would probably make him want to do something as Liam's father had done. Because when you get to stages like that, there reason is no point. You're nothing but a broken shell of the man you once were by that point.

Alaine smiled sadly at the male after he finished speaking. "Well, I'm sorry. Despite everything you say or do, I can't make any promises of ever changing my ways. Don't get me wrong, I understand everything you're saying, but when it all boils down it's still my life. You can disagree with it all you like, you're not the first to disagree and certainly won't be the last. But if you don't mind, I've said all I wanted about my health and would rather we no longer talk about it. Because as I've told you, I'll simply continue on as I please, words are useless. If you want me to change you'd best learn to handle a syringe and pricking needles and do it yourself." he barely noticed the hints of an icy tone to his voice. He hadn't meant to be so cold, he just wanted his point getting across to the male was all.

"Perhaps his father's death had affected him more than anything. He practically bottled himself up inside a shell and didn't want to come out. It took a lot of strength for him to get over his death, even today he still thinks about what he could have done to save him. Like Alaine his father was a stubborn man, doing as he pleased. Liam didn't mind Alaine's reaction to his words when they were in the lounge. He knew he shouldn't have said anything to the male but at least the male was talking to him again. Liam wondered if the male was just taking pity on him by buying him a meal. He didn't see why now the male had decided to even speak to him or respond. Liam was tired of questioning the male and his reasons.

As he looked up at the male, he wasn't sure to think. He hardly knew the male and yet he wanted to help. Liam liked to help people but it was obvious the male didn't need or want his help. He couldn't hear the male's voice as he listened. It was almost like he had ice water running through his veins. Liam didn't want to argue with the male any more. He nodded absently as he grabbed his menu and opened it up. Liam remained silent as he ignored the male not wanting to speak to him. He wasn't even sure if coming here had been such a good idea. Liam glanced around him wondering if taxi's ran this early in the morning. He returned his attention back toward his menu still trying to figure out what he wanted. "

Alaine did the same as the male, picking up his menu, pretending to read the thing and letting the conversation die between them once more. He hadn't been trying to be so cold, but knew his words struck an impact on the male. He couldn't imagine what the male must be thinking about him right now. After all, he'd been showing him so many different sides of himself today, one could probably only figure him crazy. And with the way he'd been acting, he wouldn't blame the male. This was a bad day. He normally wasn't like this, but there was just too much. He just wanted to go home, crawl into bed, and forget about everything that happened today.

As he sat there reflecting his acting, their elderly waitress once again returned with a pen and pad in hand. Alaine smiled politely and ordered a simple burger, fries, and a coke. When he was done, he replaced his menu by the window and waited for the male to give his order as well. He felt like he needed to apologize all over again, but for what now he didn't know. So he kept his mouth shut instead. As the male was giving his order, Alaine leaned against the male, taking a glance out the window, then glancing at Liam. The wall was uncomfortable, he wondered how soft the male might be and would he mind if Alaine suddenly got up to use him for a pillow. "Probably a no-go." he muttered to himself, pushing off the wall again and trying to find comfortable in his seat.

"Liam was getting tired of the male's mood swings. Alaine was fine one minute, and the next he was yelling at him. He couldn't understand why the male was reacting in such a manner but he couldn't blame him. Liam had no right to invade the male's life, who was he to tell the male what to do. He just needed to keep his mouth shut and get through the meal. Liam looked over at the woman as she came over to take their order. He listened as the male spoke, practically going to order the same thing. Liam ordered a cheese burger, with fries and a Dr. Pepper. He smiled at the woman as she walked away before putting his menu back where it belonged. Liam heard the male speak as he watched him. He glanced at him curiously not sure if he wanted to know, but he couldn't help but ask. "What?" Liam asked the male as he sat there watching him. "

Alaine looked up at the male when he heard his voice. He hadn't realized he'd been speaking that loud. But at the males single word, he was a bit glad he heard him because it gave him an idea. A chance to prove that he wasn't really mad at the male. Getting up from his side of the booth, Alaine moved towards the male. "Don't move." he said softly, smiling down at the male. Lightly pushing at the male, he moved into the booth, taking a seat beside him. Alaine angled his body so that he was curled up on his side beside Liam with his head on the males arm, and one of his arms lightly touching his thigh. "Much more comfortable than the wall." he said loud enough for Liam to hear. He honestly didn't care if the male didn't like him using him as a personal pillow. If he had anything against it, he could either tell him to get off or push him to the floor. Hopefully he went with the first choice as he wasn't too sure on what the male thought of him. And adding in this little stunt, it was going to add nicely to the awkward scale.

"Liam stared at the male curiously not sure what he was talking or thinking about. He watched as the male stood up moving toward him. Liam looked at the male not sure what he was doing, but he was about to find out. He didn't know what the male was thinking of doing but wasn't sure if he wanted to know either. Liam moved toward the wall, as Alaine sat down next to him. He found it odd for the male to come near him in such a manner. Liam remained still and frozen as the male sat next to him. He stared down at the table as he felt the male place himself next to him, closer than he had expected. Liam didn't find it uncomfortable but more on the odd side. He glanced over at the male as he laid his head on his arm, and his arm on his thigh. Liam stared down at the male's arm as he heard him speak. He had never been used as a pillow before, but he wasn't bothered by it. Liam relaxed as the male got comfortable next to him. He glanced over at him as he sat there with the male leaning on him. Liam sighed softly as he sat there, he wasn't going to push the male away after all he didn't hate him. He was just confused with the male. Alaine always seemed to be doing a 360 every time they talked; fine one minute and yelling at the next. Liam just hadn't expected something like this from the male. In his mind he saw the male as someone who like to keep his distance. He himself preferred to keep his distance but with the male he wasn't sure if he could. "

Two ways to know that Alaine was getting tired; his mood swings were off the charts or he was being somewhat of a human being and liked being close and clingy to others. Mostly so he could use them as pillows, but clingy none the less. If he was showing signs of both, it was best just to leave him be, do as he pleased, and make sure he didn't steer off the road on the way home. Alaine was glad the male wasn't pushing him away or telling him to get off because aside from how comfortable the male was, he was warm, or least warmer compared to himself. He sighed in content as he settled beside the male, this was better. Much better. And he could tell that Liam thought so as well. He felt the males body relax against his own and heard him give a soft sigh. If the male decided to spend the night with him, then perhaps things will go better conversation wise tomorrow. Until then he was going to try and keep his emotions and words in check so he didn't end up offending the male.

Alaine gave another soft sigh as he closed his eyes for a moment. He was so tired. It would be easy to just fall asleep, here, like this. Warm and cuddling against the male, using him a human pillow. He couldn't explain it, but he always slept best when another body was close by. To have a nice strong arm as his pillow while another arm was wrapped around his waist. Holding him, almost protecting him in a way. It was one of his reasons he slept with so many men. Not because he liked to have sex or just needed money. But because he enjoyed the company, lusted for the feeling of being in another's arms. So what if it made him a slut, let others think as they will. And as he thought this, he wondered, did Liam know that he slept around? He couldn't put an answer as to why, but something about the thought of Liam thinking him a slut frightened him. He didn't want the male thinking that. He wasn't a slut, he wasn't a whore, and he most certainly wasn't a hooker.

"As he sat there he found peace in a way. Peace in just sitting with the male. He relaxed as he leaned back in his seat. Liam didn't know why but he could relax around the male, he hadn't expected such a thing. He didn't have to put on a happy smile and pretend he could be who he was. Liam didn't care if the male judged him, after all so be it. If the male was going to judge him he would have done it long ago. He wondered if the male was tired but he knew he was, since he was tired himself. Liam usually went home after work since he had to feed Elsie but not tonight. He knew the male wasn't going to take him home which he didn't mind. Liam found himself wondering if he could leave the male if he wanted him to.

It had been awhile since he had been so close to someone, just finding comfort in sitting there. Liam didn't date and nor had to gone out with any one. This was his first time going out in a long time with someone not family or friends. He didn't know much about the male, just the stories he had heard in passing between others at work. The employees had been sharing stories of the male, all telling he slept around. Liam didn't care if the male slept around, it was none of his business after all. He could care less really, what two people did while in private. "

He opened his eyes once more as he felt the male move beside him. He wondered if the male was uncomfortable having him sitting so close to him like this. If he did, he could easily move back to his spot on the other side. He just wanted to be close to the male was all. But again, Liam made no attempts to make him move, for that he was grateful. And he lay there, he realized something. Despite knowing nothing about this person aside from a name, occupation, and face, this was one of the few times he felt completely content with someone. Alaine had been with plenty of people, few of them ever gave him feelings like this. Liam just so happened to be one of them. As he lay there, he took in the males scent, his warmth, the feel of his muscles and curves. All of them making him even more relaxed, like he really could just fall asleep here in the males' arms. Guess he hadn't realized just how incredibly tired he was.


"Do you know how to drive a stick?" he asked suddenly,his voice soft but serious. If Liam wanted to go back home, he could. But first he wanted to get them both to his apartment. And to do so, he would need to know if the male could handle a 1984 Corvette stick shift. If he could, then great. Not, ********. Here's hoping the traffic to Brooklyn wasn't that bad. "It's fine if you don't, not many people this day and age do. I'm just wondering is all." Alaine wasn't going to force the male to stay any longer than getting back to Brooklyn. He wouldn't try to sleep with him, touch him anymore than he was now, or look for any new fights to starts. Anything the male heard about him, he could forget about now, none of it was true. Except for the bits about him sleeping around, and even those were exaggerated.

"Liam didn't mind the closeness between them. He knew the male wasn't going to make another move, just sit there next to him. Liam didn't care if the male found comfort in sitting next to him. He knew that the male found comfort in sitting next to him. Liam didn't mind being his pillow after all the male had, had a long night of doing different things for the owner. He had never really paid attention all that much to the male before, until now. Liam glanced over at the male, as he looked at his face. He found it to be cute when the male sat next to him with his eyes closed. Liam wanted to touch the male more, not in a sexual way, but in a way there was physical contact between them.

He heard the male speak, as he watched him. Liam had driven stick before a few times. He couldn't say he was good at it but he could drive stick if he had to. "If I need to, yes." Liam replied thinking about it. His friend Johnny had taught him, which was a big mistake the first time he wrecked his friend's car, practically totaling it out. He had gotten better over time but only drove one when he needed to. "

He was warm and comfortable, the male was by far one of the best human pillows he'd ever used. The only way he could think of being anymore comfortable would be if the male would allow him to duck under his arm and lay his head somewhere between the males chest and torso, or hell, just let him lie back and use his thigh. But he didn't know if the male would let him and he didn't want to freak him out either. Though a part of him had a feeling that the male wouldn't push him away. He might show signs of being surprised, but he wouldn't do anything. Not today anyways. So instead, Alaine snuggled up closer to the male and nuzzled the males arm. He could feel the male watching him, but he wasn't too concerned about it. He kinda liked having the male watching him, even if it was only a little.

After opening his eyes and speaking, he looked back at the male, meeting his gaze. From this angle, his noticed that Liam's eyes were really pretty. He hadn't really noticed before, but being as close as he was, they really were something. Focusing back on the males reply, he smiled a bit. "Think maybe you could drive us back to Brooklyn then. Or are you planning on grabbing a cab or something after this?" he asked. He'd seen the male glancing out the window earlier. If he wanted to leave, he could. It wasn't like Alaine would hold him hostage or anything like that. He just wasn't driving back out to the Hamptons tonight, which was why he'd told the male specifically if he wanted to go home, bring his own car.

"Liam felt the male nuzzle against his arm. It felt odd but in a good way, since it didn't bother him. He wondered if the male had ever done something like this before, but he could sense the male had before. Liam kept his mouth closed about it, not wanting to ruin the night anymore. He looked at the male as he looked at him, a little embarrassed to be caught looking. Liam turned his head away as he looked at the table. He didn't mind driving the male home, after all it was easier than finding out the male had crashed his car because he had fallen asleep at the wheel. Liam shook his head slightly, "I can drive." He replied looking back at the male. Liam glanced at the male's face taking it it. He wondered how much older the male was than him but really didn't care to know. Liam looked down at the male's hand as it was still on his thigh. He shifted slightly as he moved his hand, picking up the male's hand, he turned it over as he traced the lines with his finger. "

Alaine was almost never this affectionate with anyone. But something about Liam made him think that it was okay. That the male wouldn't get too upset if it was little stuff like this. It wasn't a lie that he'd done things like this with others, but those people were few and far between. Even though he slept around, there were very few people that he allowed to keep in contact with him and be close with like this. Alaine watched the male a little longer even after he turned away. It was hard to tell what exactly he was thinking. He wondered if the male thought him annoying for continuing to ask and do so much with the male. But as the male assured him that he would drive, he again found himself smiling. "Thank you." he said softly, meeting the males' gaze as he looked back at him. His smile slipped a bit as the male picked up his hand. What was he doing? He cocked his head to the side, watching the males finger moving across his palm. It wasn't that it felt bad, more odd. He watched the male for a few minutes before clamping his hand around the males' finger. He grinned up cutely at the male before returning his gaze to the males' hand.

"Liam didn't mind being close to the male after all between them it seemed they found some comfort in it. He was relaxed with the male, with others he had to always walk on egg shells, but with Alaine he didn't have to. Sure there was times the male had yelled at him, but he saw that it was his nature to get angry. Liam didn't mind since he could easily forgive, instead of holding a grudge against him. He listened as the male spoke, smiling slightly, "Of course." Liam replied knowing he couldn't let the male drive home on his own, after all he didn't feel like leaving the male just yet. After the male had calmed down, it was like he was a different person. Even though he hardly knew the male and how he acted, he didn't mind being with him. He was surprised as the male grabbed his fingers. Liam looked at the male in shock not sure if he had down something wrong. He saw the male's smile but still it worried him. Liam pulled his fingers away as he set his hands to his side as he looked at him. "

Alaine was known for becoming quite childlike when he was tired. He loved the attention, he loved to be touched and kissed. So when the male suddenly pulled away his fingers, he got the feeling that he did something wrong. He sighed and was about to settle back beside the male when the waitress returned with their food and drinks, setting it all before them. When everything was in place, he politely thanked her and got off of Liam. He didn't care what the waitress thought of them, he just wanted to not spill or drop anything while laying against the male. But before he pulled completely away from the male, he leaned up and pressed a light kiss to the males' chin. It was just as another thank you for letting him lay on him, but he didn't tell the male that. Let him think as he would, how he took his actions and reactions were on him. Alaine wasn't too concerned. So sitting up, he stayed beside the male, but gave him plenty of room to eat as he didn't know if the male was left handed or right. Since he himself was left-handed, he was always aware of how much room to set between himself and someone that was right handed.
