The spell speeded toward her just as the words did, but the Ravenclaw's motions, body and mind suddenly split in two to defend against each problem. The severed connection was not violent, barely even noticed in its naturality as it in fact occurred in almost every passing of Phi's encounters. Simply in the chaos, the smoke of her disorder worked like a background to show the shape of the cast shadow. Making that divide known more vividly than it ever was.
The foremost part - that of emotions and recklessness and deeper instinct was swollen. It had never before taken so much space - made so much smoke. The balance was not off, she found as she faced both missiles as they approached, it simply needed readjusting.
"Flipendo Contendo" she cried in clarity that was almost foriegn and forgotten in the turmoil previously bogging her thoughts and senses. Now it rang, clear and projected to meet the oncoming possibility and hitting with a flash of sparks as Ronyo's spell exploded in a light of a firework as it rebounded.
Now the words: and she was almost surprised that he was so clever and insightful. But then, the cooling waters of realization flooded and she re-realized who it was who stood before her and she had sought out. The boy was an enigma she would always intrigued by. "I don't know, that is why - Confundus! - I came, has he said...anything?" a question returned like a tennis ball to the Slytherin court with just as much burdened silence of wonder as his had held. Images of the memory flashed again with such power she could almost feel him on her lips again. Taste his breath on her cheek again and feel the flood of waterfalls burst again. There was logic in that mesh, and she had to find it. Otherwise, it seemed unsolvable.
The question sat, bouncing and waiting to be hit and returned.

Ronyo smiled seeing that even with the likely first time puzzlement that his friend was still holding to enough of her senses to counter and riposte him. She would not be a Ravenclaw if she allowed her mind to be so easily overtaken. As the rebounded spell came back Ronyo pivoted on his heels and spun into the spell, the dancing might barely glancing by his back. His spin finished putting him a few feet closer to the red head and in a aggressive stance. As the girl fired her riposte the boy brought forth his wand and motioned strongly as he had done so many times a year ago.

"Protego."

The shield appeared and absorbed confusing charm and then vanished after its service was over. Ronyo immediately turned his Ash wand into the next motion of his coming spell and angled his spell down on purpose. The reason primarily being for the spells possible harm to an opponent who Ronyo had no intention of ever harming, but also the psychological effect the spell was capable of having.

"Diffindo," the spell slammed into the ground and pushed earth and grass into the air in a small yet useful screen, "I have heard Colton say many things over the time I have known him, would there be anything in particular you were hoping he might have said?" the rebutle to the vague question was enough to bring the girl more into the conversation than throwing hopeful statements and questions about, but Ronyo was already spinning from the position of his words to not leave an audible target and come around to the Ravenclaws side and with a flick the Blackwood wand came out and moved right in front of Ronyo's mouth, "Halitus Capisum," the words came out along with a puff of wind that allowed a quick and small plume of fire to be felt rivaling the radiant heat that was Phi's hair and heart.

Only the heat of the blaze would be felt as it had been directed to the side and back from the girl, once again a maneuvering spell not an aggressive one. For the moment the two friends were closer to dancing with spells than dueling but even with the intent to speak more than duel Ronyo never made a move unless it was well placed.

Now the dams rushed. Where before too much chaos or too many recreations had acted as thick filter to bodily emotion, now everything sparked and ran. Cheeks inflamed to the heat of molten steel and eyes threatened to water with the irritation of the rising steam and embarrassment. Before had chance to even before the blueprints of action, everything began to flood as the vivid memory turned red and pink and smeared in a new flush of inner revolution. It waved itself hands and pricked her cheeks and - had Ronyo not had the forethought, mannerism and gentleman action and aiming his responsive spell just at a slight angel away from her - the recounting assaulting magic barely missed her in a sudden blindness to it.
Phi clenched her small hands into tighter fists, palms catching her short nails and feeling their grating like blasts of sand. Eyes crushing and locking like steel doors against the visuals already deeply implanted in her head that showed neither their disposition nor their obvious effect on both her parts. Only mouth suddenly opened past the curtain of full lips and with sudden, hitched breath whispered in hopes of easing other locks into returning state. "...about wanting to kiss me?"
Suddenly, lips burned just as fiercely as cheeks and eyes flew open in a slip of matters with pointing wand aiming with same rushed politeness just above Ronyo Storm's head of white hair.
"Glacius," with wand tip above light air, sparks of loosely concentrated minuscule flurries of ice and snow rushed out to meet the fiery spite of the pepper and gust of air. Smiting and extinguishing itself and the threat. "Waddiwasi!" came the next flip of her sword of spells and flurried into action and command a small army of loose rocks from both the ground and the faces of the boulders surrounding them. Flying with a high speed and a threat of injury, Phi's mentality still exercised the reassurance of turning just slightly away from her friend before everything snapped and she found herself in another clasp of riveting emotions. "We kissed, Ron."

Ronyo could see the cheeks of his friend beginning to fill with blood and attempt to match the passionate fire that always showed in her hair. The surprise given by the sudden dust cloud helped Ronyo know her mind was wondering during the duel even if for a few moments, but that was enough to get someone hurt. His fire breath had been matched by the one of Phi well known spells as cold meet hot and slammed into a swirling vapor. As Phi spoke and then cast her spell Ronyo was not sure what he should dodge the now incoming rocks or the new boulder of information just thrown at him. Ronyo spun again moving to get away from the main bulk of the debris, but phi had scattered a nice wave at him. Quickly Ronyo moved his Ash wand for the desired spell and called out the command.

Difindo!" The spell hit one of the larger rocks sending it flying in a small eruption of dust but the debris still came closer and Ronyo Blackwood wand moved almost on its own, "Protego."

The shield came up and block some of the flying projectiles but it was clear the shielding charm was designed more for spell reflection that a broad based cover. A few of the rocks hit Ronyo in the leg and shoulder but nothing that would stop him. It was the comment Phi had made that put a halt in the boy's step. It was not to digest the idea that Phi and Colton had kissed, it was more to give an inward sigh as to say, 'about time.' Ronyo chuckled to start off and then smiled brightly at the redheaded Ravenclaw.

"Took you two long enough didn't it? If your mind is racing on what your suppose to do next I think the answer is obvious," Ronyo paused a moment to give the girl time to think, "Open your eyes and accept what is and enjoy it. You are currently under the hold of the most powerful magic in all the world Phi, one that no wizard or witch great or small has been able to truly understand or explain...love," Ronyo took a step closer as he began to expound, "before you try and rebut my statement answer this to yourself," another step closer, "does your hand fill warm when his meets yours, your heart beat faster at the touch? Do you feel safe and secure when he enters the room, could you go moments without saying a word to each other and be perfectly content? When you look into his eyes do you see something deeper than courageous lion?" Ronyo was close to Phi now as he continued to ask his questions but was not needing of an answer, "If you're looking for advice my friend I will simply say this...Rictusempra."

The tickling charm spell at the range would likely hit, unless the girl was able to regain her conscious suddenly enough. If it had been anyone else Ronyo would have assure himself of the hit but there was a chance she could still dodge or block the spell if she was willing. The result of either action would be enough to go down either road Ronyo had prepared himself to finish the duel with.

Whatever ounces of blood had been sitting idle in her veins now made no hesitation in rushing and polling in Phi's cheeks with Ronyo's every word. Soon enough - before the Slytherin boy could even finish his list - her body felt completely bleached and her face heavy with the lead-weight of confused embarrassment and recollection. Her knees began to lock and every thought or plan of attack regarding their duel completely vanished without even a puff of smoke as both her hands - wand in her left - raised to the sides of her head and gripped at the hair that looked pale against her face and ears. Clenching in hidden shelter, every answer to every question passed her silenced lips with ease so fluid it disturbed her. It felt again like that spring that the Gryffindor had eased into blusterous life was once again bubbling.. Showing its continuous presence and informing of having always existed - dormant and blocked by a boulder of plastered pages and dried ink.
A geyser unexplored and unmapped. Forgotten and laying under the protective shield of camouflage of the most delicate variety - hiding in perfectly plain sight. Filled with warmth, touch, sounds and smells the red head never thought herself so much as capable of knowing - much less having it already exist in her.
The ease of how natural the idea felt; of holding his hand, looking in his eyes, feeling his hold and tasting his lips, disturbed her. And even that only served to confuse her more as every shred of what she once was seemed to be slipping through her fingers. And even then, leaving no void, but instead this unfamiliar instinct of normalcy and simplicity of being. A whirlpool like no other of expectations crashing with what was truly battling to be seen by her from the inside. Ripping past walls of posted pages and diluting words of printed knowledge with the ever-rising dust of ancient knowledge to be discarded and reconstructed.
In this whirl, green, smiling eyes continuously flashed with a reassurance that felt comfortingly foreign in the mess. Asking to hold and help with words and wisdom far beyond their years - even offering a laugh.

It seemed regardless of whatever chaotic storm of flowers and perfumed rain she Ravenclaw found herself in, there was no making an eagle forget its talons. The instinct of oncoming magic moved her more than the sound of the voiced spell of the flick of one of the brother wands. Jumping back just slightly to avoid collision of the effects she only now deciphered from spell name, she stood just half a foot further than she had before. Facing Ronyo with a blinking surprise at the intention of his magic until she felt the tickle of her face. Blood rushed away and cheeks tickled with a numb pecking as they could not be fought against smiling. light notes of humour suddenly sprang to be airborne and soon evolved into giggles. Until the redhead found herself red-faced once more in side-splitting laughter and clenched fists. She could not hold herself still against it - barely could fight it and it was a quickly lost battle. It felt like rain, refreshing and propelled with quick, instant wash of change as every trouble - first one by one until it turned into a complete wave - trickled away and out riding the laughter.
Freedom; if there ever was a definition for it, it was this. Lightness like no other, empty but clean and shinning. Words and knowledge sprawled on paper-thin ink washed away with the current and leaving nothing of the laying dust that only now had shown how suffocating it could be. In its place now was only the spring, bubbling and inviting with warm waters.
"I have been silly about this," she asked evenly with shining eyes and a bright smile meeting the green eyes of her friend, "Haven't I?"

"Oh I don't know about silly Phi, I would say you've been human about this. Like I keep telling you love is the most complex subject matter in the world, both ours and muggle. Your likely trying to put some matter of logic behind the idea and there is none. Love is illogical, it is free, and without equal when it comes to emotions and powers."

Ronyo gave both his wands a quick flip and then they were quickly sheathed behind his back in a pair of leather holsters that up until now no one likely had even seen. His mother had helped him design and make the wand holders so he could better keep track of both wands and have them able to be readied should he find himself in a pressing situation. The holster could also be adjusted so it would allow the storage of wands under a vest or even robes if the need was there.

With a smile Ronyo moved to his friend and gave her a hug that she appeared to need and held her at arm's length and smiled. The dance Phi and Colton had been playing for the past few years was one Ronyo held to himself and had even placed personal bets wondering when they would finally see what was likely obvious to everyone else. Any doubt about how the two felt was all but squashed when Colton confronted Ronyo about the confusion over the kiss in the hospital wing. Now it was like opening a dirty window on a clear blue day and letting that wonderfully radiant light shine in.

"I was wondering how long it was going to take before the two of you realized your feelings. I am most happy for both you and Colton and will even help fund your first date, whenever you decide that should be," that small statement brought a puzzling look over Ronyo face as he suddenly thought of a new host of questions he had never even thought about, "What do wizarding couples do on a date anyways?" With a smile and a chuckle Ronyo shook his head, "No matter that is not for me to decide anyways. Now Phi is there anything else you needed to ask me?"

The redhead could not help but let free another light song of giggles at seeing the wand-holster. Both of humour at how characteristic the thing was for the boy, as well with pure interest at how delicate and detailed it was.
Naming exactly the guilty fault that had created the hurricane that had only just passed, Phi could not help but feel another sense of embarrassment. It seemed she had been entirely recreated: where once she had been a Muggle girl, unreadable behind her wall of books, she was now a witch with every thought flashing clearly in her eyes. Even more - nothing of the fact tainted the shining armour she now wore with any flecks of rust.
The hug appeared and the girl took every advantage of it, bringing herself close to Ronyo and embracing deeply and tightly. Feeling his every curve and muscle and flicker of warmth, pulling at it and remembering it with a naturally blooming smile as his smell turned to her and made its mark. Laughter flying once more into the air that had never felt less constricting in its none existence, as Ronyo published his inquiry to both their ears. Shrugging deeply, she frowned humorously to show her own confusion at the idea, laughing even deeper. "How is it you always know exactly how to help?" she said simply and clearly finally as she pulled him into another embrace - one full of gratitude and lifted spirits.

The girl’s smile had Ronyo mirroring the emotion as Phi gave him one more hug. As she asked how he always seemed to be able to help Ronyo found him not really sure he had been helping as much as being an outlet for discussion and reasoning. Though Ronyo had a feeling many of his helping moments came from his mother talking with him almost constantly about things to keep his mind sharp or something to think about for a long time. Ronyo was always trying to increase in mental faculties almost more than he was now currently working on his dueling and dual wand mastery.

“Not sure about always helping, but I do the best I can with what I am given and always look to help my friends. So far I’ve been lucky to be aware of the issues everyone has asked me about, but regardless I’m just doing what I know each of you would do for me if the situation was reversed,” Ronyo moved back to the center of the stone circle and produced his ash wand, “Well I still have some time for my training session if you would like to keep dueling, or maybe you might wish to find someone else to duel with for awhile.”

Only seconds after racing away from the bridge, the shapes of his two best friends could easily be made out against the large shadows cast by the towering, jagged stones. Without being bothered by the exertion, Colton pushed himself into his highest gear, running as if it were to save his life. But truly it was more than that. He wasn't just saving his own life, but those of his friends, his teachers, and everyone else at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

He skidded to a stop, bracing himself against one of the stones of the circle, just outside of where his friends were dueling. He had planned to meet Ronyo here soon anyway, and though he was surprised to see Phi here, as well, his train of though didn't falter. Even after the run, he was hardly panting as the words leapt from his tongue with natural urgency.

"I figured it out! Tay and Roi—they're no different! In fact, they're the same! Roi is the demon inside Tay! He's the one causing all the trouble—I mean, more trouble than Tay would normally be entitled to. He's the one who's been hurting people! The one who hurt...Phinelia." His quick, jumbled words slowed dramatically to a stop, and his gray eyes locked with hers as he spoke her name, a flash of agony sweeping across his face as he remembered her blood-curdling scream in the greenhouse.

At each of the spoken ideas and truths, Phi found herself smiling even brighter. With malus wand ready at the proposal, her head shook slowly and evenly as the decision shown was met with her finalizing words, "No one I would rather practice with." and as her eyes finally restored themselves to their normal intense flame of determination and rising intellect, she quickly flicked her wrist to throw an offensive spell, resuming their previous dance. As enchantments and spells and curious retorts flew through the air in both their commanding voices as well as the magicked light of wizarding power, soon they found themselves engrossed in the mesmerizing motion of the fight. Sparks and fires rose to lift in both the young students, working to show itself in both mind and body as they took each recounting step with the most cautious and elaborate step to their created music.
And just as Phi's most recent spell of a violent swarm of pale blue birds erupted from her wand in controlled aim, a sudden sound and voice cut her focus, turning her head. From the close horizon of the school's exit, the Ravenclaw could see a familiar figure running towards them with personified message and intent. Eyes smiled in a new light as she saw Colton Raines approach the both of them. The birds of her spell faded as her focus changed once more away from the duel to an offered distraction. A very deep and controlling part of her knowing that the ease which she could now greet her friend was only possible with the comforting and sound word of the Slytherin.
As intention became clear with no hesitation on the Gryffindor's part, Phi's eyes widened at a realization that what he was now saying was news to him. News to Ronyo. Complete history to her. Phi suddenly felt a hit of guilt at the realization of how long she had kept the secret of her knowing - the conclusion of William Nott's mystery to herself and the topic boy. SO long, in fact, a part of her had simply assumed that she had already disclosed this information to her friends - to her colleagues in this fight. But never.
She had perhaps forgotten, perhaps mistaken herself in her normal quietness of thought.
Never had she shared with her friends such intense, desperately important information as she felt the obligation of fighting alone.

Her eyes and being worked in that instant of emotion to cover the signs of guilt from her face and eyes. Wiping it clean as she approached Colton with a false - but masked - air of pure shock and instinctive interest. Her mouth opened with the primary question begging to jump from her vocal cords just as her logic silenced it. Knowing the question and inquiry of how her friend had learned of these facts would sound emotional. Would sound connected and accusing and would lead to the exposure of her betrayal to their alliance. She pushed the question away - deep to burn - and stood for just a second with her mouth slightly ajar to the silence. Another question quickly presented itself as a substitute, and every eagerness pressed into her words as she spoke, "Woil had said something about this. He was disconnected in his thoughts, but he said something about Roi...something about Tay. Is this it?"

Alongside the expected surprise, Colton saw something else dance along the basins of Phinelia's eyes, but he quickly passed it off as a product of the last time they seen each other. His granite-colored eyes jumped back and forth between Ravenclaw and Slytherin, his shoulders slouching when they responded a bit less excitedly than he had.

At Phi's unsure words regarding Woil's clue, Colt's mind suddenly jumped back to the time he and the boy had ran into each other outside the Gryffindor common room, the time he had let his guard down...until Jane had brought up something about some Roi character—the first time he had heard now infamous name.

"I would bet my—broom...on it." He agreed with her, his excitement dwindling into a whisper as he realized that, after dueling with Tay (or Roi...), he no longer had a broomstick. "If I still had one, that is."

"Only a true dream
can catch my eye

and hold me down"

So many emotions were pulsing through Charlotte that she wasn't even quite sure how she felt. Nervousness. Excitement. Fear. Happiness. Revenge. Determination.
All these things alternated in Kat's mind as she made her way down to the circle, shivering. In one ice cold hand, she clutched her wand, aglow with the Lumos spell, and in the other, tucked inside her robes, was a cheap self-help textbook she'd found at the library. She'd studied it cover to cover, though she wasn't quite sure how helpful it would be. She'd heard from the few people that would speak to her that you couldn't learn to be an animagus from a book. Kat had no idea what to expect, but she was mostly confident her former idol could teach her well. Charlotte's mind leapt forward to Bailey and how much she'd missed her. It had been ages since Kat had first shaken her hand on the quidditch pitch.
Charlotte came upon the circle before long, but it had seemed like days. the cold night air was piercing, and though Charlotte desperately wanted to be here, she also half-felt it would be nicer to be in the common room in front of the fire.
Glancing around, she noticed that Bailey was not yet present. After a few moments Charlotte decided to use this to her advantage. She slumped down against a stone and began to read her guide to animagi for the fourteen-hundredth time. She spoke the word softly as she read them, awaiting the arrival of her new mentor.

Ronyo Storm - Slytherin
Fifth Year
Stone Circle

"Stupiefy!"

The spell hurtled out of the Ash wood wand and slammed into one of the surrounding stones that gave the stone circle its name. The blast erupted a shower of sparks that had no effect on the powerful and everlasting stone but still sparked all the same. A roll and a flip had the African Blackwood wand coming out and aiming at a second stone.

"Defendo!"

Another spell came out and caused a larger eruption of dust and sent a shockwave out from the center of the blast. Ronyo stood with his long white hair stuck to his forehead in places from sweat and took a deep breath as he stood up from final pose. His training at the old stone circle had continued now with more spells and more knowledge to bring a grander scale of combative training. He also used the time to keep up with his meditation practice from China and look to his new study of wandless magic practice, which he had respected the professor's wish to not attempt anything large scale without being in the classroom. Here Ronyo simply took the time to look inside himself and better understand his magical core which he was beginning to feel he understood more and more. There was also another style of practice the odd Slytherin now pursued.

"Ex-pec-TOH pah-TROH-tum!"

Both wands shot up and a warm soothing light came out from each and seemed to swirl and dance around Ronyo. The energy from the spell could be felt and even to a stronger degree some might say but still no form had come from the spell. Nor form but the spell was beginning to take on more definition with each casting and a better focus on the task he wished to complete. Tamara's lesson on the spell had been helpful and through his meditations and new lessons from the wandless magic practices class he was growing more confident in his ability to cast the spell as well as hold on to his happy thought to sustain and grow the spell.

With a smile Ronyo stopped the spell and moved to his bag were he took a bottle from it and took a few gulps. The Slytherin was also taking some notes from Tamara about the idea of beneficial potions and while he was nowhere near as accomplished as she was, he could still drum up a descent elixir to help restore some lost energy. In all fairness it was likely closer to a muggle sports drink than anything else but it did help bring some of the used energy back into Ronyo's body faster. Using a towel to remove the moisture from his bare chest and arms Ronyo then put on his white button down uniform shirt and took a set to relax for a moment. He did enjoy the calm moment s like this, he would have preferred them with his friends but while the companionship was great he also knew that his training times were his way of staying one step ahead of the dark that always seemed to loam over them. He wanted to be ready to fight off whatever it was that came his way no matter the form.

((OOC: I do not wish to interferer with anything you may be doing lady Klutzy, so we can simply say what I am doing is accruing at a different time. I am setting up for other actions from other members so I would hate to suddenly turn the scene chaotic with multiple people of multiple plots.))

Jane walked slowly, enjoying the outside air but truly wanting to be doing nothing more then sleeping. Jane was exhausted, not to mention had a headache that felt as though it had been cause by someone hit her head repeatedly with a frying pan for the last six hours, though really more mentally then physically. This year, really every year since she had discovered she was a witch, had worn on her and she was ready to be done. She just wanted to go home and talk to her parents just forget it all but yet here she was. She really wasn't sure why she was here but Phi had wanted to talk about something and it sounded urgent. This honestly surprised her a bit, Phinelia hadn't wanted to talk this whole year so far but not that exactly surprised her, she couldn't imagine what the girl must be feeling at a time like this and Jane was willing to help but someone she felt this wasn't about that.

As she walked she noticed Ronyo, who seemed to have been practicing. Jane smiled and gave a slight hello before she found herself staring at her hands that she was rubbing together.

That stupid fox, going around causing all sorts of ruckus again! Chase chased after the little mammal who seemed to be startled by something. Not really, the little fox was just curious, freely roaming around the grounds of Hogwarts castle. It would take a miracle for Chase to find the fox again, and he wasn't going to give up on this miracle. "Come back!" he yelled at the top of his lungs. "Stop running!" The fox didn't listen and playfully hopped around the stone circle. It had just occurred to Chase that naming the fox would be a good idea.

{OOC; If I'm interrupting something, just pretend this post (and the entire mini plot that follows) doesn't coincide with what's happening.}
