"Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever."

The more he showed off to the male, the more he found himself longing to impress him. He couldn't help in enjoying seeing the male laugh and smile as he moved beside him. As they went around the rink, he went back skating regularly, his heart pounding in his chest though from exhaustion or just pure excitement he couldn't say. Perhaps it was a mix of both. Alaine slowed his pace some to take a breather, pausing at the males question. He rested a bit against the wall, taking a few breaths before answering. "When I was in middle school, I was on the school hockey time. Most of us had been skating since we were kids, so we all pretty much had the basics we needed. Coach thought it would be to our advantage if we took some basic figure skating lessons. You know, to make us more agile. As you can imagine, with taking those kind of lessons, small jumps and turns were apart of the program. Since then I've been able to continue to do those small tricks, but nothing major like a triple sow cow or whatever other crazy jumps you see in the Olympics are called." he smiled happily as he explained. Back then, playing hockey and just being away from the church in general were his favorite times. Everyday he was able to get out some built up frustrations and proved to be quite the centre forward.

“The truth is messy. It's raw and uncomfortable. You can't blame people for preferring lies.”
Watching the male down the drinks, Sam wondered, just how many could this guy handle? Even though he knew him to be something of a regular, they had plenty of regulars, and it was too much of a hassle to try and keep track of them all. Since he only played bartender and waiter when they were short staffed this was his first time attending the man, he didn't know his name so it would be pretty impossible to try to keep track of his tabs so he didn't try. But from the looks of it, he appeared to be alone. Sam didn't like people that drank to get drunk. Usually when they got to a certain limit, he'd called Tipsy Tow and have them haul people back to the city. He wondered would he be needing to do the same with this guy. Lifting the bottle from the counter, he poured the male another round without him asking. Call it a hunch, knowing that he'd be wanting another. Shots were too addictive; start with one and an hour later you could be nearly your hundredth, depending on how big of a drinker a person was. Sam frowned at the males response as he set the bottle back on the counter. He knew the man was just expressing his opinion and had every right to do so, but they didn't know Alaine like he did. He was more than worried, he was borderline possessive of the man. "And what if those mistakes lead him down a too familiar path? Am I supposed to sit by and watch him crumble to the ground like the day I found him?" he countered, surprised at himself at actually being able to keep his voice just as calm and quiet as the mans. Taking another drag, he tapped his cigarette no the ashtray while the burning smoke filled and burned his lungs for a few moments before releasing it up to the ceiling with the tip of his head.

" Liam didn't mind the male showing off after all he knew more than he did. He liked watching Alaine mess around seeing the male was having fun. Liam followed the male toward the wall as he stood next to him, along the male to catch his breath. He listened as the male spoke, impressed he could still do all that even though it had been so long ago that he learned it. Liam held onto the wall as he stood there, watching Alaine. "Well the smallest things are still amazing. I think if I tried any of that, I'd be on my face in five minutes flat." He spoke smiling at the male chuckling a little but mostly to himself. Liam was content with doing the basic at the moment. "

" Micha was a casual drinker. He didn't drink a lot though he came to the club at least two or three times a week. Micha could easily go home to drink but he wanted to relax before going home. If he went home to drink, he would end up working more than drinking. He drank a few shots then went home. Micha never drank enough to get drunk, buzzed sure but never sloshed. He hadn't even asked for another shot before the male filled it up again. Micha gladly took it, drinking it down but he knew he needed to stop soon. He sighed a little seeing the male's frown as he spoke. Micha wondered if he had said to much and spoke out of tongue. He glanced over at the male as he spoke, he didn't know what to say really after all he didn't know the other male let alone this one. Micha ran a hand through his hair a little as he watched the male blow smoke into the air. "No. If he needs help then help him but let him make his own mistakes. You can't hold someone's hand all the time." He spoke as he grabbed his shot glass turning it over. Micha was finished after all he was simply babbling now. "

Alaine leaned against the wall as he took a few good breathes. While he stood there, he shivered in the cold air. Now that he was no longer moving, it was too hard not to it piercing through him like a sharp dagger. Beads of sweat dotted his forehead, while goose bumps covered his arms and most likely the rest of his body. He let go of the males hand to fold his arms over his chest in an attempt to keep in as much body heat as possible. Smiling over at the male, he gave a light shrug. "Thanks, but it's not that great." he said shyly. He laughed along with the male when he mentioned falling if he attempted the same moves he just performed. "Probably. But it takes practice. The small jump that goes into a turn I just did took almost two months to do without falling. If you want, we can come back another time before the rink closes for the year."

" As he stood there, with Alaine, he saw that he was shivering. He hadn't realized it was cold after all he still had on Alaine's jacket. Liam didn't want to male to catch a cold, he was fine at the moment. He felt the male release his hand as he covered himself up. Liam didn't like seeing the male uncomfortable. As the male spoke he pulled of Alaine's jacket handing it to him. He wasn't going to argue with the male, "Here put it on." Liam spoke as he leaned against the wall. He was content now that he was warm enough he would be fine for awhile. Liam moved a little as he moved his feet in front of him as he held onto the wall. "Maybe." He spoke smiling at the male, "Want to get some hot chocolate?" Liam asked since he saw a small portable near the rink when they walked inside and got their tickets. "

“The truth is messy. It's raw and uncomfortable. You can't blame people for preferring lies.”
Samuel was well aware how his relationship and need to keep his friend safe must look to outsiders. But Alaine was more than just his friend; he loved the man, wanted to keep him safe and always in his arms. Even now, he was fuming that he was out again with that man. Taking one last drag he stubbed out the cigarette. Leaning against the counter he rolled his eyes at the male. "Maybe you can't, but then again you don't know him the way I do. Perhaps if we were talking about someone who was just had a couple of bad breakups, I would think otherwise. In his case, letting go could end up meaning suicide." he said calmly. Pushing away from the counter, Sam went over to the computer, putting in the number of shots the man had drank so far. Printing out his bill, he took it back to the male, slipping it on to the counter before him. With a soft sigh, Sam went back to his paper work, not really wanting to face the male right now. He was being childish right now and the males babbling was only making him seem more childish by the minute.

" Micha couldn't understand how the male felt after all he was just some random stranger. He watched as the male rolled his eyes before he spoke, knowing the male was annoyed with him. Micha couldn't help but find amusement in the male's annoyance of him. He hadn't asked anything of the male, and here he was getting made at him. Micha listened to the male speak but kept his opinion to himself as the male walked away from him and rang up his order. He took the receipt as it was given to him, pulling out his wallet he grabbed out a twenty setting it on the counter. "I'm sorry if I annoyed you. I shouldn't have said anything." Micha spoke, he was just babbling anymore. He was tired and had a long day plus he barely knew the male just as he didn't know the other. Micha didn't want the male to hate him and kick him out if he ever came back. "

Standing there, he tried ignoring the cold, which was pretty much impossible. The air was just cold today and it felt as though it was only getting colder by the minute. When the male took off his jacket, he stubbornly shook his head, not wanting to make the male uncomfortable. But seeing the look on his face, he knew that refusing wasn't an option. Pouting he took the jacket, pulling it on and wrapping it tightly around him, basking in the warmth the clothe provided him. Looking over at the male, he stuck his tongue out childishly before leaning over and pressing a kiss to the males cheek. "Thank you." he murmured, kissing the male again before pulling away. Alaine smiled over at the male and sighed softly, his breath coming out in a patch of fog. He nodded at the males suggestion, so happy to get off this frozen hell for a minute he could just kiss him. Moving closer to the male, he again took his hand, lacing his fingers together, and smiling down at the male.

" He was thankful for the male's jacket, but now it was his turn to give it back. Liam watched as the male tried to object and wasn't going to take it. He wasn't giving the male an option, he was giving it to him. Liam watched as the male took it and slipping it back on. He smiled as the male wrapped it around himself, glad to see that he was warm now. Liam chuckled as the male stuck his tongue out at him, before kissing his cheek. He nodded at the male's comment after all he didn't want to see the male freeze either. Liam held onto the male's hand, feeling that it was cold. He shivered from the touch but was fine after a few seconds as he got used to it. Liam stepped away from the wall as he skated over to the opening of the rink, stepping out. He walked over to the lockers, since it was easier to take off his skates an return them with his own shoes. Liam released Alaine's hand as he unlocked his locker grabbing his shoes and walking over to the bench. He sat down and started to take off his skates. Once they were off he placed his shoes back on, and waited for Alaine to finish. "

“The truth is messy. It's raw and uncomfortable. You can't blame people for preferring lies.”
Samuel shuffled through his paper, again trying to make sense of them, but soon giving up and shoving them in to a locked drawer underneath the register. Picking up his clipboard, he looked over what other chores he had for the day before he could leave. He looked over the top at the male as he heard him speak once more, shrugging his shoulders lightly. "Everyone's entitled to their opinions. I just happen to disagree." Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a business card and placed it on top of the males bill. "Come see me again the next time you feel like chatting." he said, smirking at the male and turning on his heel. With his clipboard in one hand and a pen in the other, Sam walked around the bar and started his nightly ritual of getting things in order for when the crowds would start rolling in.

" As the male spoke, he simply nodded. After all it was not his business in the first place. He stood up from the stool watching as the male pulled out a business card. Micha picked up the card, not expecting the male to ever want to speak to him again. He slipped the card inside his pocket, as he watched the male go about his business. Micha shook his head, as he left the club heading out to the parking lot to his car. He grabbed his keys from his pocket, as he unlocked his car and got in. Micha started his car, and pulled out of the parking lot. He needed to get home to work, after all his work seemed to never be done.

It didn't take him long to get home. He pulled into the driveway of his home, glad to finally be there. Micha sighed as he got out, and locked the door behind him. He walked over to the door of his house and unlocked it, walking inside. Micha locked the door behind him, as he slipped off his shoes. He set his keys in a small bowl. Micha didn't bother to flip on any lights as he walked in the house moving toward the hallway. He walked into his office, flipping on a light as he walked over to his desk. Micha saw his phone answering machine was blinking, he knew it was probably Tiffany checking on him after all she was the only one whom seemed to call.

Micha didn't bother to check his messages, as he sat behind his desk. He grabbed the business card looking it over, plain and simple. Micha sighed as he set it on his desk, not sure if he should keep it or throw it away. He didn't think talking to the male was a good idea, especially again. Micha would leave it there for now, perhaps he would call or not. He grabbed the mouse of his computer moving, it as the screen popped up. Micha clicked on his emails as he started to look them over before going to work.

He smiled at the warmth surrounding him, he could smell the faint scent of the males soap mixing with his own natural scent. Alaine zipped up the jacket and pulled the hood up so it was hanging halfway over his head. Holding the males hand, he skated along with him back around the rink to the gap they entered from. Stepping out, they waddled towards the lockers, Letting go of the males hand, he unlocked his own locker, pulling out his shoes and plopping down beside the male on the bend. He made quick work of untying the skate lace, yanking them off, and pulling on his shoes. When he was done, he stood up, adjusting his clothes and picked up the skates. He waited for the male to get up before heading towards the rental booth, placing his skates on the counter for the teen to take care of. Afterwards, with his hands stuffed into his pockets, trying to soak in as much warmth as possible, he followed the male as they started off towards the little portable.

" As he waited for Alaine to finish, he hadn't realized how cold the male was. Seeing that he pulled the hood up, he smiled since he could barely see the male's face just pieces of his hair. Liam stood up shortly after Alaine did, picking up his skates from the floor. He followed Alaine toward the rental booth, dropping off his skates next to the male's. Liam walked along side him, slipping his hands into his own pockets as well trying to keep them warm. He could smell the scent of coffee already wafting through the air even before they got close to the portable. Liam smiled as he stood in line which wasn't long only about five people before them. He waited patiently unsure of what he wanted; coffee or hot chocolate. The line moved pretty fast as they stood there, he glanced over at the male before the female inside the portable called them next. Liam walked over toward her as he looked over the menu, "Hot chocolate please." He spoke as the female typed it into the register before looking over at Alaine, "And for you?" She spoke as she waited for the male's answer. "

“The truth is messy. It's raw and uncomfortable. You can't blame people for preferring lies.”
Collecting the males money and moving about the club, Sam couldn't help but to watch the male leave. Mainly he wasn't sure how well the male could handle his liquor and for another, he was wanted at least one last good look before getting back to work. He smiled at the males back, glad to see he was staggering around like an idiot. When he was gone, Sam moved around the club going over his usual checklist; checking the bars and doors on the dance cages, straightened table clothes, counting chairs, vacuuming, stocking shelves, etc. As he worked more employees came in, the dancers with their bags, the hosts dressed sharply, bartenders looking irritable, the cast was all in play and things were ready to get going.

Once all his chores were done, he wandered back to the bar and collected his paperwork. Tucking it under his arm, he made his way through the "Employees Only" doors and down the narrow halls to his office. Voices filled the air and bounced down the hall, the sounds of lockers opening and closing, items dropping from the vending machines. His cast was cutting it close to rush hour, but he didn't scold them. They always proved him to be worthy of their tasks and pulled in outstanding results. Samuel was proud of his staff. Pulling out his key from his pocket, he unlocked a white wooden door, twisting the knob and going inside. Inside, the room was filled with the soft warm light from the lamp on his desk. Two, nice dark wooden desks were placed on opposing sides of the room. Behind each desk was a high back black leather chair, bookshelves, and in the middle of the room on the back wall between the desks was a black leather couch. The room reeked of cigarettes and incense. The heavy spice over powering the bitter tobacco. Walking into the office, he shut the door behind him and plopped down in the chair behind the desk on the left, his desk. He sat there for minutes on end lost in thought. Wondering what Alaine was doing, what was so much more important than this business. After all, starting a club was his idea, he started this place for him. For a few years things were good, they worked in harmony. But then they just seemed to lose sight of why they were even doing this. Many times Sam thought of selling, the place was popular enough that he could get a nice price for it. But not knowing what Alaine wanted to do with it or how the buyer might change the place, always made him think that selling would be a terrible decision. He sighed softly as he leaned back in his chair, wondering if it was a good idea to have given the male his business card. It wasn't like he was expecting him to call him or anything like that, but he got the feeling the male was just making conversation for his benefit.
