𝕯ominic 𝕸ontague 𝔖𝔩𝔶𝔱𝔥𝔢𝔯i𝔫 𝔓𝔲𝔯𝔢𝔟𝔩𝔬𝔬𝔡 Fourth Year, 𝔅eater
A small smirk was picking up the corner of his lips as he spotted the confusion already masking the clarity from Heather’s features as he nearly had her tied in his web. But she reacted quickly, and the ribbons weren’t heavy enough to stop the fellow beater from breaking through the mold and lighting her wand forward. ”s**t,” he cursed, taking a quick step back, his concentration waned and the ribbon separated from his wand. The fire greedily licked up the harsh winds and burnt every inch of ribbon to ash as it blew away in the wind. He took a few more steps back, a bit distracted by the harsh tone of his cousins voice fleeting sharply away in the wind.
He barely saw what’d happened, but he could smell it, the charred remains. His eyes followed the others to find several fleeting feathers dropping down to the earth, crumpled and black. Tearing his vision away from it all, he forced his eyes back on Heather quickly before she could whip her line of fire any closer towards him. ”Flamma frigus,” he quipped up barely a moment too soon.
”C’mon, not the hair,” he snorted with a bout of laughter as he held his wand at the ready. ”Everte statum,” he demanded with the flick of his wrist. He couldn’t lie, it was nice to have Belle as his cousin sometimes.

ஐShow me how to lie. You’re getting better all the timeஐ ஐAnd as you step back into line. A mob jumps to their feetஐ ஐNow dance, dance Man, he never had a chanceஐ
¤¤¤¤¤¤Michelle blinked as the girl was distracted, and let her eyes dart for a few seconds to the ring with the burnt birds. She smirked. The girl that had used to spell to protect herself from a flock of birds pissed her off a tiny bit. She wasn't one to admit it, but Michelle had an affinity for birds and other flying creatures. The boy who had used it as an attack of course also pissed her off, because the birds didn't deserve that fate, but she could tell he was a smart one. It was a good trick she would have to keep in mind if she ever needed something to throw her opponents off a bit. Her attention reverted to her duel just in time to see Marina fall from her leg locking curse. Of course the firey red-head was able to spew out two spells before hand. The first, Michelle was easily able to identify as golden and red flames encircled her. The second, it took her a few moments but when she realized what the girl had done she just smirked.
¤¤¤¤¤¤Quickly, the white haired girl, lifted her wand, avoiding the flames circling around her just barely, and pointed her wand. She knew the first spell she cast would back fire on her, and so she would need a spell that didn't require much wand movement so she wouldn't burn herself, as well as a spell that wouldn't harm her while backfiring on her. An idea came to her at once. "Creobulla" She quickly muttered, and as expected, instead of firing from her correct end of the mahogany wand, golden bubbles burst backwards, popping as they came in contact with her chest. "Flamma Frigus" She said, and then, trusting her own spell ability, walked through the flames, smirking when they just tickled her slightly. She quickly spun her wand around to finally point it at the red head girl still lying on the ground. She was slightly surprised that she had ended her leg-locking curse yet. "Densaugeo."She whispered, her wand twirling through her fingers, the sun shining briefly on the wood, making it seem almost blood red.

¤¤¤¤¤¤Michelle growled in annoyance as Marina freed herself from the leglock and rolled away from her spell. Michelle heard her spells and hopped backwards, trying to avoid them, but she wasn't quick enough to avoid both. As she dodged the levicorpus, a blindfold snapped over her eyes. She blinked behind the cloth, and immediately stood still. She slowed her heartbeat and listened silently to the world around her. It seemed like minutes to the blindfolded girl, but she knew it was only a couple seconds. It was a good move, blindfolding your opponent, but Marina should have known better. Michelle lived and thrived in the dark. She didn't need her eyes to figure out the world around her. Added to that, Vincent had blindfolded her, 'spilled' pepper or other hazardous things in her eyes and beaten her enough that her eyes swelled shut to many times to count. She could fight perfectly fine without her eyes.
¤¤¤¤¤¤A low growl sounded from her throat as she heard the barest whisper of movement or maybe a gust of wind blowing her clothes. Either way, she knew where the red head was now. Michelle's mahogany wand shot up. "Incendio! Petrificus Totalus! Arion Vomito!" She shouted off in quick succession. She doubted Marina could dodge one of her spells again, let alone all three of them at once. She smirked and while Marina was distracted by her onslaught of spells, she reached up and wrestled with the blindfold until she had pulled the cloth free from her eyes. For good measure she spun her wand on Marina again and whispered one last hex. "Formicatio Rubens."

Do you CARE about me? Do you THINK I don't BLEED? Why are you trying to HIDE behind a stupid LIE When the TRUTH is your EYES Have you LOST YOURSELF? Always TRYING to SELL The PERSON that you THINK you are You stay ALONE 'cause real's just too HARD
MARINA EUGENIE ALDRED PROUD HALFBLOOD SLYTHERIN FOURTH YEAR
You say you'll never go that far: Horrified | But you're not who you say you are: I'm vomiting slugs! | Your time is up in too many places: Michelle | You've got too many faces: Courtyard | Wearing
Marina hadn't anticipated Michelle being able to fight blind. Against anyone else, it might have been more effective. She realized too late that the white haired girl was about to attack. The fire spell was too quick for her to even hope to avoid. The redhead ducked her head and threw her arms up, shielding her face at the last second. She bit her lip to prevent a cry of pain, as her arms were burned. Her gut told her that Michelle wasn't going to just attack once. "Protego!" she snapped, and a wavering, weak shield appeared, holding off the full body bind curse. But then her shield was gone, her focus broken. The next spell hit her, and she reeled back, and then doubled over, retching slugs up. Her whole body wracked as she coughed and heaved, and dropped to her knees, vomiting. She knew Michelle sent another hex her way, but as she had dropped down, it missed, going over her head. Marina was almost choking, and had long since dropped her wand. She threw up once more, completely horrified. Slugs. Why slugs?! It was an awful, horrible curse, and she wasn't surprised at all that the other girl had used it. The redhead knelt there, trembling, as the vomiting subsided. She wiped at her mouth with the back of her hand weakly and then spit to the side, face contorted with disgust. This was the grossest thing that had ever happened to her. Grosser than the whole walking through a blood bath thing that had happened that one summer. Who would have thought slugs were worse than blood? "Holy sh*t," she swore under her breath, getting up on shaky legs, and holding up her hands in surrender. "I yield." she mumbled, before retching again, pushing her red curls to the side and turning away from Michelle.
You've got your HEART in too many PLACES
Always LAYING the BLAME You're never ONE and the SAME Could it be that you're AFRAID to look INSIDE And find you'll NEVER get it RIGHT So many SIDES to YOU Nobody KNOWS the TRUTH How you EVER gonna keep it STRAIGHT? Do you WANNA be a MEMORY?

¤¤¤¤¤¤Michelle watched two of her spells hit, and two of them miss. She wrinkled her nose in disgust as Marina started retching slugs. When Marina said she yielded, Michelle smirked for a second before swishing her wand. "Finite Incantatem." She said quickly, ending all the spells in their dueling circling, including the ring of fire still dancing around them and the slug vomiting spell she had cast on Marina. She nodded to the red head and slid her wand back into her pocket. "You're a good duelist." She said begrudgingly. She paused to glance down at the burns covering her arms and grimace just slightly. She knew what burns were like. Well she knew what burns from boiling water and hot oil were like. Besides charring her finger tips with to many fire spells that one summer, she hadn't been burned with real fire since her first year, when she learned incendio. She glanced up at the sky and then whistled a soft tune. In moments Volare was soaring from the crowds and landing on her shoulder. "Help Marina love." She muttered, stroking the birds feathers a couple times before letting the phoenix fly over to the red head Slytherin. Volare gently butted his head against Marina motioned towards her arms.

So you wanna call me the devils' advocate But you don't even know the half of it I was raised to believe in miracles My life is so cold
Head Girl Annabelle Emery Rich Seventh Year Seeker, Slytherin Prefect
[New Day]
Annabelle could feel the last wisps of winter winding through the castle and grounds, it teased her hair as the lingering warmth slowly began to flourish with the short lived season of spring before summer fell. Her blood ran thin, and her flesh was always cold, even bundled up in the warmth of her leather jacket. Her spiraled wand fluttered in her hands as she whipped her wrist back and forth, manifesting barriers and shields as well as the physical boundaries of the dueling rings. She hoped to see Marina here, before Belle would have to lose herself in her studies for her NEWTS. She needed someone to hold reign of this club while she was gone, and she knew her little cousin wouldn’t be able to handle it without breaking a few rules, or teeth…
”Shouldn’t be too long now, Lady,” Belle smiled down at her half kneazle, the feline had barely ever stayed at her side while at Hogwarts. There was simply too much to explore, and too much to chase.

Head Girl Annabelle Emery Rich Seventh Year Seeker, Slytherin Prefect
”Welcome back,” she smiled humbly, her misted eyes fell upon a familiar Slytherin, Darius, as she spoke next. ”I’m glad to see you all again.” She lingered in the grass, her half kneazle curled around her ankles as one of the younger Gryffindor boys had spoken to her. ”Oh—thank you David, and yup, just one more game. Hopefully I’ll make it count, since this’ll be my last year here.” She grinned rather sheepishly, even a small giggle had escaped her lips. ”Feel free to pair up and begin practicing while we wait for the rest of the group to join us,
“Oh, Marina, can I talk to you for a moment, please?” She decided on a whim as she waved a nimble hand for the two to maneuver a small ways away from the crowd of students.
”This may sound a bit, last minute, but I’ve been trying to decide who to leave the club to after I’m gone… and, well, I want it to be you, if, you want, of course.”
