Season 1
Cardcaptor Sakura takes place in the fictional Japanese city of Tomoeda which is somewhere near Tokyo.
Ten-year-old Sakura Kinomoto accidentally releases a set of magical cards known as Clow Cards from a book in her basement created and named after the sorcerer Clow Reed.
Each card has its own unique ability and can assume an alternate form when activated.
The guardian of the cards, Cerberus, emerges from the book and chooses Sakura to retrieve the missing cards.
Cardcaptor Sakura: Movie 1
Side Story:
During Spring Break (Hong Kong)
That night, Sakura experiences a strange dream where two pieces of cloth pull her underwater. After school ends for spring break.
Sakura and Tomoyo visit the "Twin Bells" shop where Sakura participates in a lottery to win a vacation to Hong Kong.
As Sakura reaches for a lottery ball, one magically flies into her hand, the winning ball for the vacation.
The woman in Sakura's Dreams, actually a sorceress referred to as Madoushi (named "Su Yung" in the English dub), attacks Sakura in rage, believing she had summoned Clow Reed, creator of the Clow Cards.
When Sakura tells her of Clow's passing, Madoushi angrily tries to drown Sakura by trapping her in a flooded skyscraper with her cloths.
Sakura uses the Arrow Card to escape and she confronts Madoushi, sympathising with the sorceress and confirms Clow is dead.
Madoushi dissolves into water, passing on, but releases Sakura's friends. While Toya and Yukito have no memory of what happened,
Sakura tells Tomoyo and Kero they may have to visit Hong Kong again in the future.

Sakura Seals the final card Earthy , which awakens Yue the other guardian of the clow.
Yue a will test Sakura and Li of who is worthy of the cards.
The only way to win against Yue is for Sakura to change the wand to her magic
Sakura is decided as the new master of the cards.
Season 2
Afterwards, Eriol Hiiragizawa, a transfer student from England, arrives in Tomoeda and begins causing disturbances with two guardian-like creatures, Spinel Sun and Ruby Moon.
Once all the cards have been transformed, Eriol tells Sakura that he aided her in converting the cards so they would not lose their magic powers.
Syaoran later confesses his love to Sakura, who comes to realize she also loves him.
Cardcaptor Sakura concludes with Syaoran returning to Hong Kong with a promise to return. Two years later, Syaoran moves back to Tomoeda permanently.
Cardcaptor Sakura Movie 2: The Sealed Card
Eriol Hiiragizawa's house is demolished to make way for a new amusement park in Tomoeda, activating a Clow Card, The Nothing, hidden underneath the house.
Sakura and Kero are contacted by Eriol from England, who explains the Nothing was created to balance the positive magic of the Clow Cards with her own negative magic.
The Nothing and the nameless card fuse into one, becoming the Hope Card as Sakura tearfully confesses to Syaoran.
SEASON 3
2018 -2019
Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card starts at the point where Cardcaptor Sakura ends, when Sakura Kinomoto starts junior high school alongside her friends, including her new boyfriend Syaoran, who had just returned to Tomoeda.
After having a prophetic dream about a mysterious cloaked figure, all of the Sakura Cards turn blank and are rendered completely powerless, thus starting her quest to find out what is wrong.
In doing so, Sakura and her friends, along with her guardians and protectors Cerberus and Yue, discover and capture the transparent cards using a new and much stronger mystical key and incantation.
Season 4 Confirmed for 2020 Clear Card arc season 2
