1. When Did you First Discover K-PoP
Technically, I first discovered kpop back in like 2006. I was super into anime and was listening to the openings and ending themes a lot. But at the time, I had no idea they were Korean artists. They were singing in Japanese, so naturally I assumed the were J-pop artists. Turned my world on its head when I discovered some of the groups I'd started listening to several years later had these super familiar songs.
I've basically in into kpop since before it was popular...pretty much everywhere. I still remember being so excited when I found one of my classmates knew who Big Bang were (but they only knew Big Bang, and only because they were a fashion major and they knew of GDragon).

I officially started listening to K-pop (with actual Korean songs and not just K artists singing in Japanese lmao) in May 2010.

2. Who was your First Group?
xThe first group I was exposed to was Super Junior. They'd just had their comeback with Bonamana. (As Infinite and Teen Top debuted in the net couple months, they were my next groups)
My first female group was SNSD, but the first songs I heard by them were Oh, Gee, and Genie and they weren't my style of music at all. So I pretty much dismissed them completely out of hand for the next couple years

3. Who was your First Bias?
Hoya (ex-Infinite, now solo)

4. Who is your bias Now ?
Most days it's a hard toss up between Monsta X's Kihyun and Ateez's Yeosang.
Yeosang is actually my type, because I can't dance well, so I always end up admiring the dancers in groups. Kihyun is the outlier because I'm a professionally trained vocalist, so I'm a picky brat and tend to pick apart live performances with a hilarious ruthlessness.
If I had to pick a female bias....Red Velvet's Wendy or Dreamcatcher's Sua. Despite Wendy being a vocalist and being so picky, I have huge respect for her as an individual and an artist because of everything she's gone through, and the fact that her voice is absolutely stunning. And Sua is a queen of everything, have you seen that girl move??
In general, apparently it's easy for my friends to guess my group bias because I have a Type: confident, snarky, sassy.

5. What song got you into K-POP
First song was Bonamana, yo. cool
But ironically, despite listening casually to kpop for the next year or so, it wasn't until I stumbled across Lucifer that I really started expanding my horizons beyond the groups I'd been introduced to by my friend. SuJu's Bonamana was my first song, but Shinee's Lucifer was my gateway song.

6. Which Fandoms do you see yourself in or belong to?
Atiny, Monbebe, Wenee, Insomnia, Stay, Miracle, Forever, Neverland, ToMoon, MyDay, Choice.
I consider myself multifandom, and therefore part of many fandoms. But these are my top groups.

7. Which Group are you waiting for to make a comeback?
Everglow is about to make their comeback! And I think Monsta X is coming back in September.
Stray Kids, a Day6 subunit, Dreamcacther, and Ace just had a comeback, and Wonho just debuted. And Ateez and G-idle (and I think? Oneus??) just finished promotions.
And... I'm waiting for Oh My Girl (even though Yooa just solo debuted!!)

8. First K-pop Concert?
Monsta X, 2017.

9. What k-pop concert have you been to?
Monsta X, 2017, 2018, 2019. Stray Kids, 2020.
I would have been going to Monsta X and Ateez this year, and I was talking with a friend about going to see Everglow and G-idle, but....Covid happened.

10 What K-pop Concerts do you want to go to Next?
I want to actually see Ateez in concert dang it!
I'd love to see Monsta X and Stray Kids again, too. Excellent shows.
But also Everglow, Oneus, Ace, Oh My Girl, NCT127, Dreamcatcher, G-idle, Day6, Mamamoo, Pentagon.
BTS is probably never going to happen because their ticket are hilariously expensive, but my friend says their concerts are a blast, so maybe one day.
