This month's alternative Anime of the Month title is the 12 episode comedy series Kotoura-san, which aired in late December of 2013.

The Plot:
Haruka Kotoura was born with telepathic powers, which awakened in her while she was still a toddler. Unable to tell the difference between peoples' words and thoughts, she drove her friends away, became ostracized, and even managed to destroy her parents' marriage. From then on, she closed herself off from the world, in fear that her powers may hurt the people around her... Or even herself.
Several years later, in her first year at a new high school, will a group of eccentric classmates and their even more eccentric club knocking on her shell, will they finally be able to break it?
