 [Sub-male of the Royal Harem] [Prizes]
[The Sub-Male] - colored by Jovi of ShadowsSub-males typically have a lower status in the pride, just underneath the huntresses, but this guy is special. He is the sub-male to the empress' harem, which gives him about as much social status as a warrior.
Sub-males take an oath celibacy while they're in another male's harem. He will not be permitted to breed with the empress or her entourage. Should he attempt to sire cubs with any lioness in the pride, he will be kicked from the royal harem down to loner status, the lowest of the low, or possibly exiled from the pride entirely if the empress deems him unworthy of the dawnlands.
Shujaa, as champion of the dawnlands, will coordinate patrols of the territory and guard shifts of the empress and her entourage with this sub-male. He answers directly to Shujaa in most cases, but his status in the royal harem is at the bottom of the totem pole, below the entourage lionesses. [About Champion Shujaa]He's a steadfast, sturdy male who takes his job very seriously. He'll protect the empress and his harem with his life, and often times pushes himself past his limits.
He doesn't sleep unless the entourage is around to keep an eye on Khanya, as he worries she may become lonely or depressed without companionship.
Despite his serious nature, he can be playful when the mood strikes him. Usually when Khanya tries to wrestle with him, a game she has yet to win. This is a personality contest. Entourage lionesses are free to breed with the champion, but their cubs are not considered royalty.
They act as huntresses for the empress and the champion and have proven themselves loyal and dependable lionesses. [About Empress Khanya]She is a young lioness, only recently stepping into her role as empress after the passing of her mother, the late empress Ilanga.
Khanya is kind-hearted and compassionate, but that doesn't stop her from making difficult decisions. She likes to think things through before making any hard choices, and may be a bit broody during the process.

The Loyal Entourage

Why was she chosen for the entourage rank?Suzu was choosen for her loyality to Khanya. She had grown up under Ilanga's rule and watched her mother serve as IIanga's entourage. She was encouraged by her mothers loyality and honor towards IIanga. She is loyal and protective, often making sure Khanya has what she needs. Suzu acts as another voice of reason and listens to her mistrress's complains. She once saved her once, when they were Khanya and her were young.
How does she feel about the empress and her champion? Suzu feels lucky, devoted and loyal. she is more loyal to her Empress then the Champion.
A brief description of her personality: Suzu is loyal, demvoted, couragous and voice of reason. she always will be there to protect Khanya.
