It was so fun, performing today! The school one was fun. I had to laugh at some of the dancing going on, though some people didn't look like they were too happy. It made me really sad sad I love doing "Christmas Canon". There were only 6 of us on my part xd lol, we were still good, I think ^_^ idk, I didn't hear us. But anyway. The school performance went really well. I had good sight lines ^_^ And I could actually see Castillo for once! But I nearly fainted during "Christmas Festival". Castillo started to get really blurry, and I couldn't distinguish anyone behind her, they were just a pale blur. I was like OH CRAP. But I held on. And afterwards, Zapata let me have a sandwich meant for Color Guard's party ^_^ I was so freaking hungry. I wolfed it. 'Twas yummy ^_^
I was pretty annoyed by the time I got to QB today. We had some random math assessment thing, and I did manage to answer all the questions, but I know I got some wrong, and my grade needs HELP. So does my poor, dying english grade, but that's a whole 'nother story ^_^ Civics beat my brain to a pulp, but at least I had food to get me througn ^^ And I had "Point of No Return" in my head for the entire test, and I really wanted to sing (but singing during a test is BAD) So, since the QB questions were things I didn't know, I was singing under my breath and admiring Dominique's pretty reindeer candy cane ^_^ And MAO. Okay, so there's a weird number of people going to convention, so idk what's happening with room assignments @_@ It's me, Frozi, and...that leaves 2 empty, but who knows? I think one room has only 3 ppls. BLEH. it woulda worked out just so stare And I had to give a little explaination of Descartes that I butchered b/c it's too complicated to really explain without an example @_@
Between school and the concert, I played a lot of piano. Rosalie plays really well ^_^ I had fun trading off and playing random stuffs ^_^ We had pizza, Amanda showed up, and Marion will forever be known to me as "The Girl with the Rainbow Scarf. With Stars." Beth and I stole her scarf for a few minutes. Then Beth stole it away from me crying
Actual concert stuffs: I didn't get to see color guard 'cause we were in the back hallway. I had to read something for Jazz Band, and it was partly about World War II! Cool, huh? It was meant to be, I suppose~ But I stumbled over the world "anyone" and screwed up the last sentence: "this piece features Nicole on alto saxophone." Only when's the last time I've said more than just "sax"? I remembered at the last second to add "ophone" to the end, so it came out funny confused But I guess it could've been worse ^_^ We did some coolness for the first two songs (hence the reason for my little seat recommendation ^^)
Instead of being BORING and just going onto the risers for the whole thing, we came in from the back and stood in the aisles for "Christmas Canon" and for "Night of Silence/Silent Night" the seniors came to the front and faced the ppl. It was soooo cool! Then we left, band did Ukranian Bell Carol, and we came back ^_^ And then it was just everything from today, slightly different order. But the high notes almost made me black out @_@ I went for them b/c my voice was cooperating today, but everything faded out when I got to them. The nice high As and a few of the Gs. Talkin' WAY up in the exosphere. the Silent Night in "Christmas Festival" kills me, really. It's so FREAKING HIGH crying They could've dropped it an octave and it woulda been FINE. Every two seconds, it was like fade...fade...fade...DAMMIT I'M TRYING TO SING HERE!!!! scream *sighs* I only sang soprano to sing it for "My Favorite Things" and "Adeste Fideles". The others were easy, low soprano. Except Hallelujah stare Please, tell me how it sounded. I'm open to brutal honesty on that one @_@ I wouldn't be offended if someone told me it was absolutely terrible and they wished they hadn't heard us sng it @_@
After, the seniors did their thing. I'm thinking maybe you could hear the song in the physics lab while we were practicing in the DA, especially with us singing loudly and badly xd We did it nicer for Castillo, though. After our last song, we went back towards the stage stairs. I tried to get Nicole, who wasn't paying attention, b/c it's just so much easier for someone else to unzip the dress rather than have me struggle with it @_@ Lindsey swooped down from the stage telling me to shush and turn around xd Then, I pulled a quick-change act, discovered that my hat was missing, and ran out looking for it. Apparently, Alysse took it and gave it to Elizabeth @_@ I got it back, and we did our little routine. 'Twas cute. Then, we each read 2 lines from a poem Kallie wrote. I liked my line ^_^
"They were so scared and they were so new
As the walked into a great big high school."
That's too true 3nodding Orientation, 1st day. 8A was all the way on the other side of the gym, and I had to walk all the way across all by myself. I was scared. But then Paz was there, so it was all good ^_^ The gym never seemed larger than that first day! New Life #2. I'm on...like...#7 now xd But everything keeps changing so drastically. I'm still in one piece...but it's cheap, off-brand stick glue holding the pieces together @_@ SCHOOL, YOU STRESS ME OUT scream
And Karen told me today that ND sent out the letters yesterday @_@ I DON'T WANNA KNOW crying She's flipping out and afraid she'll get deferred. I told her she won't be; she'll get in. But I also told her that if she does get deferred, I'm quitting school because she'll be freaking out for 3 MORE MONTHS and I don't think I can survive it @_@ I'm always the calm voice of reason, and that's just strange. I'm not calm, and I'm certainly not the voice of REASON.
And I just went off and typed a bunch of junk there sweatdrop Eh...
well, that's all ^^;;; It's over! Smile! ^_^ Be happy! xd I'm not that bad, though...right? right?
