saturday-August 2nd, 2008
My family and I wake up as usual, around 9ish, and we all are revved up for the trip to puerto vallarta. I particularly am, and I can't stay still long enough for a decent conversation. I did everything I had to do, I told all you gaians that I would be on leave, I packed to the point where I could pack no more, I cleaned out my insense burner, cleaned my room until you could actually see the floor, and now I'm just hopping around like a spring. Only when we got the airport, an hour and a half later, did I realize that I forgot to eat breakfast. I was starving at this point. I knew that I had forgotten something, I just know it...
The night before today I went to Breaking Dawn's opening party at the nearest Barnes and Noble. It wasn't all that great, which was a bummer, but I did see some people with red contacts, and boy were those cool. I was so upset that I couldn't stay till midnight to actually purchase the book....I really wanted it. But at least I got to hang out with good friends. Back to the airport. It was really coincidental that I found that book on the shelves in one of those airport stores. I was thrilled, and talked my parents into lending my 5 extra bucks to purchase Breaking Dawn. They agreed, and I was my vacation reading! Yes! We had two hours of waiting around doing nothing, so, I read, played Deal or No Deal with my sister, read some more, and got some food, before our plane arrived. We were number 5, so we had to wait in the back of the line to board, but, finally, we were in.
The plane ride itself was fairly uneventful. I had a window seat, and read my book, and then I wound up just acting plain crazy with my brother. I got some pictured through the window too that I'll post at some later date when I get around to uploading the photographs. We stepped from the airplane, and we had to go through Customs.
Oh. My. God. I hated customs, I mean, I knew it was required and all, but it was crowded, hot, and stuffy. And also, I get claustrophobic. Not the best conditions for me. We saw some of our family who arrived about the same time I did from California. There was waving and 'hi's, but nothing much else since we all had to keep our place in line. After...I don't know, 30 minuted of waiting, me miserable, we were through. I instantly felt so much better. After that, everything was fairly straightforward. We met up with out relatives and all took the same bus which took us all to out resort. Once there, my grandparents and my dad's sisters' family (who arrived a few hours earlier than we did) came to greet us. My dad's cousin's family was to show up later that night. There were a lot of hugs and, 'Oh my gosh you grew so tall!'s. It was great. My cousin, me_love_sushi and I went up to our room on the 5th floor. The room was a branching room off of a presidential suite. It had two queen beds, really comfortable. The jacuzzi tub was right there, not screened off or anything, besides the beds. My first though about that was hasn't anyone considered privacy? How am I supposed to take a bath...? in relation to the tub. I dismissed it though, refusing to be worried.
Not much happened otherwise, we all went to the beach, then had to change into formal attire for dinner. We went to one overlooking the ocean. I had their mahi mahi in tangerine sauce. That food was bliss. It was freaking amazing. For dessert i had this custard stuff, mm mm, that was delicioso too.
After that, we went to bed, awaiting tomorrow.
