When one hears love,
what do they think,
Of kisses and of hugs,
of happiness and of joy?
When one feels the affection,
What is in their mind,
The blood rushing to their head,
The shot of adrenalin?
When one says love,
What do they mean?
The feeling at its profinity,
Affection at its ultimate?

Which one is right?
The affection or the action,
The first or the last?
Shall I have to wait,
Here in these chains,
For this one little piece of knowledge,
One little fact?
Shall I have to wait
For the right source,
Endlessly, and wondering
Every bit of the time?
Or is it done simply through
Experience, by which
That shot of adrenalin runs through you,
The blood to your head?
The feeling of someone next to you,
That special someone,
Who has very gently touched your heart,
And cradled your wounded soul?
Love is tears, sadness, aching...
