Yesteday at 4 or 4:30 P.M. a park was burnt down in my city. The park was mostly made of rubber so by the time the fire started it was up in flames in about 4 minutes. Luckly nobody was on the park when the fire had started, and nobody got hurt. Firemen couldn't put out the fire with water or it would make it ten times worse because it was a grease fire, so they let the park burn and put water around the fence so the field it is by didn't catch on fire as well. Finally today {10/28}the fired finally put its self out at 10 A.M. Police say that they think that it was set on purpose and is closed off until further notice. It is very sad, because it took $250,000 to build it, and it took them about a year to finish it. They might rebuild it, but have to start from scratch again. As my mother said, "What if children happen to be in the section of the park? They wouldn't have standed a chance!" Police have no leads so far. The fire produced black smoke, that could have been seen about 35 miles away.
