AHH!! "Not already!" Kirie yelled as her hand felt around the nightstand for the clock. "Damn...I look terrible..." Kirie tied her hair back, threw some clothes on and ran out the door. Halfway to school she met up with Rosalie, her very best friend. "Teehee!" Rosalie giggled. She was very much a feminine girl. She often wore skirts and dresses, and never left the house unless her make-up was perfect and her long cocoa colored hair was the way she wanted it. Rosalie had a gentle innocent aura about her and was liked by most. Kirie on the other hand never gave a rat's a** what she look liked. As long as she had clothes on it was good enough for her. She was tough and easily angered, which drove away most people. These facts made it strange that Kirie and Rosalie were friends. None the less they were inseparable. "Ya know..." Rosalie started "I should come over in the morning and help you get ready...." Kirie sighed, "Don’t bother....you need your own time to get ready. I would mess up anything you'd do to me in gym anyway." "Alright....whatever you say Kirie...." Rosalie said with a hint of sadness in her voice as they kept walking.
RING!! Kirie jumped out of here desk and shoved her way out the door. Finally! Schools over! Wanna come over Rose? Rose was looked up, "Oh what? Sorry, I was......spacing out....." "Well, I asked if you wanted to come over....but...are you alright?" "Yeah I'm fine. Let’s go to your house." Rosalie said as she tried to fake a smile. Rosalie's good nature made it nearly impossible for her to get away with lying. Kirie saw though her transparent smirk but let it go. She knew she'd get Rosalie to tell.
"Want some soda?" Rosalie awoke from another one of her trances and accepted a glass of soda. "O.K tell me what’s up?" Rosalie looked up and Kirie saw tears in her eyes. "It's my mom," Rosalie began. "She’s changed....and not for the better....." What do you mean?" Kirie asked confused. "She’s been studying witchcraft and things like that. I'm not sure exactly what it is but it’s changed her. She keeps the lights off and is always locked up in her room reading her books........" *Been a loong road to follow...been there and gone, tomorrow. Without saying goodbye to yesterday....... *, Rosalie’s phone sang. "It's my mom" Rosalie answered the phone. The soft melody of her ring tone was instantly replaced with screaming. "Uh-huh yeah bye" "I have to go now." Rosalie rushed out.
The next day Rosalie didn’t meet her halfway and Kirie was worried. Her fears were dispersed when she saw her in the hall at school. "Will Rosalie Night please come to the office. You are being signed out." the loudspeaker said in a mechanical sounding voice. Kirie look up to see Rosalie leave the room. She got up to follow but was instantly shot down by the voice of Mr. Berta scolding her.
As the bell rang a nasty storm started to brew. Kirie hurried home. She called Rosalie's house and cell phones but with no luck. A few hours later there was a knock at the door. Kirie answered and in horror she saw Rosalie beaten bloody at her door. "K-K-Kirie"
