So like yesterday, I was watching Gundam 00 (the English dubbed version) on the Sci-Fi channel for Ani-Monday and like 2 episodes in Gundam Meister Lockon Stratos died....I WAS DEVESTATED!! I have always been a Gundam fan but not so much of a mecha fan. Okay I admit, the only Gundam series I've EVER SEEN was Gundam Wing, Gundam Seed (sidn't watch the whole thing though..), and now Gundam 00. So that's only three and of course there is more series than that. Oh yeah, back to what I was taking about, I was shocked! Never in my whole time of Gundam-devotion would I think that a Gundam Meister or pilot would EVER die! As I know, ALL of the Gundam pilots ARE somewhat psychotic and insane part of the time. I think it has to do with strict, advance training (must be in order to be a Gundam pilot; the stress of being a Gundam pilot is extreme) and their war-torned background (of deaths and destruction to their loved ones etc.). There were 5 Gundam Meisters present: Setsuna F. Seiei, Alleuluja, Lockon, and I can't remeber the rest so like go look them up or something.
