It was the dawn of spring where Yuna first laid her eyes on the world. Braska was never been happier. He was an influential man, a father to all and a High summoner but have always yearned to have a child. And so there was, a brunette baby girl with odd looking eyes, Braska thought she was perfect, and the moment she opened her eyes, she was already loved by everyone, for they knew that someday she will follow her father's footsteps in relinquishing the demon named Sin, and that made the people of Spira a little less worried for they won't have to sacrifice their lives for their nation, and that was a good thing for them. A young man probably at his early teens, asked Braska "What do you intend to call her High Summoner?". Braska was speechless for a moment and thought of a name.. "Freya?, Galatea?" Phoebe?" he's mind was busy.. then she thought of "Yunalesca" the summoner. after a few minutes of thinking.. he finally made u his mind, smiling at his wife Acromia and to the rest "Her name will be Yuna". The people admired her name, they though it was elegant, mesmerizing and most importantly, it meant a good future and a promising fate. Braska holding Yuna on his bosom with his wife were overjoyed, finally they're prayers were granted.
Years passed and the young Yuna had grown more beautifully than before, her eyes were interesting which represented her Albhed heritage on her mother's side and the other to her father's. She resembled more with her mother than to her father
and endowed with respect and good manners. The people envied her and sometimes refer to her close to perfection. Yuna would go out with her parents and hunt for food. At an early age.. she was trained to hunt and kill, at first Yuna resist she was to scared to take a life even though it was only an animal. But then she managed to do it. And was a very good huntress.
Till one day, the tragedy which everyone knew it would happen, came.. Sin has awaken from his slumber and now is taking innocent lives and destroying the nation. Yuna was scared and astonished at what was happening, the beast, the people, the children, the nation! she stood and froze. The call of her mother awaken her. Acromia grabbed her and ran before their homes were destroyed. Yuna ran with her mother she could see the blood, the explosions the cries of old people and young ones. Until they came across Malacania woods. without noticing, her mother tripped over by a rock and was unable to walk. "Come on Mother, you can do it," pulling her mother to safety but was unsuccessful, before she knew it little black figures were surrounding both of them. Yuna cried. "Yuna run!" her mother instructed as she blocked the black demons from getting to Yuna.
Upon hearing this, Yuna ran as fast as she could but still taking a glimpse back, then she stopped and called again "Mother! NOO pleaase~" she ran forward again. People tried to get in her way but she violently resisted and went back to her Mother. "YU-una! I-i told you to run!" her mother told her "Don't coOme any closer!" her tone suggest that she was in pain. "Mother!" was all Yuna could ever say.. then she saw her mother controlled by a powerful force.. Yuna was restless. but she can't do anything.. she moved more closer.. and decided to go ahead. She saw a big branch and tried to scare away the demons. Then they grew in large numbers till Yuna was unable to breath. But she was rescued by her Uncle Cid and without even thinking, she ran towards her mother laying by the lake, her body was cold, her lips weren't the same as she seen before. "Mother?.., please wake up? she said once more.. but it was no use, even though her mother's eyes were wide opened, she was now dead..Yuna embraced her lifeless mother and cried out
"Mother Don't leave me! I need you! I love you! PLEASE COME BACK!" Yuna cried again. She stopped when she saw hundreds more of demons coming their way. Teary eyed Cid prepared for battle, "Yuna, stay behind me" Yuna shaked her head "I'm gonna fight them too Uncle!" as they got closer,, Yuna's heartbeat went faster.. she was frightened, but now, anger has controlled most of her.. moving up closer.. Yuna prepared with her mighty spear.. then a beam of light appeared, it covered the the entire place, and the demons disappeared..Yuna exactly knew what had happened, and that her father has killed Sin, and sacrificed his life for her and the others. "FATHER!" Yuna cried out. "NOOO!" she cried once more and fell unconscious
Yuna woke up and saw Rikku staring at her.. she couldn't move "Will Yunie be alright daddy?" she could hear Rikku's voice "Yes sweetheart" and her Uncle's.
She tried to stand up "YUNIE!" her cousin embraced her with tears "I missed you! I'm so glad you're alright!" Yuna embraced her cousin and looked at Cid "Wha-at happened?" she asked.."Where's father?, Where's mother?" she asked her Uncle..
Cid kneeled down and held her head, embracing her.. Yuna, I don't know how to say this, but promise me you won't cry? Yah know I hate seeing my favorite niece cryin'. Cid tried to cheer her up before telling her. "Okay Uncle, I won't..now where are they?". Cid tried to look for a good word to put in. "You're parents are...not here anymore".. Yuna immediately responded "Whatyya mean?.. they're gone for a vacation without me?" Cid again tried to find a better explanation but Yuna had to know, he can't bear to see her little niece cry.. but he has too. "Yuna" Cid said, "What I meant gone..I meant to say was..uhm..they're uhm.."dead sweetie"..
Yuna froze.. and laughed, "You're joking! no! they're not!" Yuna tried to get up but she was too weak. but she managed to.. "Yunie!" Rikku began to cry as Yuna ran off.. Cid held Rikku "Just let her sweetie" he wiped off Rikku's tears. Yuna ran and found a chapel she stayed there for a while. While she was crying, she headed straight to the altar. Tears rolling down her rosy cheeks and she began to pray, even with an angry soul, she still has hope. She submitted all her frustrations to their Gods and promised to take revenge on her parent's death..she will defeat Sin and restore the peace and tranquility they all yearn for. At the tender age of 6...
