The Catcher in the Rye
The Catcher in the Rye, in case you don't know, is an old book (1945), and considered a classic or whatever. The author is J. D. Salinger. The summer of 2010, I read it. My dad said I should, so I did. I'm not sure how I feel about finishing. To tell you the truth, if I like a book, then I'm sad it's over, or upset that I have to wait for a sequel. If I don't like it, but I do happen to finish it, then I'm relieved that it's over.

But, for The Catcher in the Rye, I'm not sure how I feel. I mean, I'm definatly sad it's over. But it was one of the strangest books I've ever read. But I loved. Nothing important ever really happened to the protagonist (kind of), but it was so good. I'm not sure how I'm going to give the book back to the library. Do you think if I tell them I'll buy them a new one they'll let me keep it? I remembered I wanted to do that for Airborn.

GOING OFF TOPIC: There's this thing about library books. I think. Mainly if the book is good. You just don't want to part with it. At least, for me it's that way. Library books are the books you just don't want to put on your pillow, 'cause of how they're not solely yours and seem kind of foreign to your bedroom environment, but also the ones you like to have, anyway. They're old and stained, but are so fascinating. They're special.

Anyways, I just want to tell every teen in the world that they should read Catcher in the Rye. Even if you only like fantasy or war stories, or some other genre, read it anyway. Not because it's going to change your life, but because it's just so asteroid cursed interesting. (I'm fully obsessed with Salinger's way of writing, too.)
