The desert filled everything, everything except me. I have traveled in this vast wasteland for days avoiding going back to my village. They wouldn't accept me now, I had denyed one of the most scared laws, a girl is not allowed to be a sky pirate and that is my dream. I call myself Jake because in order to be a sky pirate I have to act and look like a guy otherwise I would be exiled in any town I went. My actual name I won't tell anyone for they would know that I'm a girl, a girl dressed up as a guy. I have to continue, continue on my camel into the next town and find someone who can help me achieve my dreams. I just know I'm meant to do something and that something is not wasting my time waiting for a man to ask me for my hand in marriage. All these girly things I'm expected to do, it's outrageous.
