So here's the rundown of my class. Ana: This sweetie little girl, and one of like 3 white kids in my class. She's really smart and well-behaved, and it's obviously because her parents spend actual time with her. She's an awesome drawer, and her favorite color is purple. Alexis: Is a dude, I know, weird. He speaks semi-English, but he speaks incorrect Spanish too. His Spanglish is spot-on so. He likes to blurt out the answers when he knows it. The other teachers don't like him because he's naughty but I love him because he doesn't mean to be naughty, he's just excited. He also has a baby brother or sister who he talks about a lot. And he can write his name, but he doesn't know which letters are which when you point at them. His favorite color is blue. Joel: Pronounced Ho-elle.He's really sweet but he's naughty and knows when he's being naughty and will just look at you like Oh you scolded me? Whatevs. But he knows his colors and alphabet and he helps clean up without being asked. And I tickle him when he gets off track like "Mr. Joel, what are you doing?" And he shrieks and it's cute. Kai: Kai sings the Five Little Bears song and does absolutely nothing else the whole day. He's sweet and gives good hugs and he's got these biiiiiiiig eyes. I love him. He needs more food though. He's like unhealthy skinny, but his mom works in the cafeteria and I think she's on drugs. Isaiah: This little dude gets pissed off if I hold anyone else's hand. He's sweet to me but kind of a butt to everyone else. I love him though. He wants to be a policeman when he grows up, and when I told him I wanted to be a teacher he just looked shocked and was like WHY?!. He's a good kid but all of his brothers and sisters are evil so the other teachers think he will be too but he won't be. His mom picks them up early sometimes and yells at them and they all have different dads and there's like 7 of them. Xander: One of the few white kids, his mom seems to love him. He can already read and write pretty well and he's only 5. He's reeeeeally shy though. So I don't know too much about him. But him and Ana are either best friends or dating. Idk. They spend all their time together. I know their moms are friends though. Sunnie: This little guy is less than little. He's as tall as a first grader and he's a sweetie. He can't write his name because like most kids, he has trouble with the letter S, and his name starts with S so. But he's a good boy. Luis: He may get in trouble sometimes, but he's always quiet in the hall. He has no concept of letters, which is a bummer, but he sings the color songs really loud. He has a few missing teeth so when he smiles it's really cute so I extra-tickle him. Bryan: He obviously comes from a gang family. Neither of his parents speak English and he tells me that A LOT. He's a good boy. Also, he like swims everywhere he walks, Like he moves his arms like he's doing the frog kick thing in the halls. It's weird but cute. He likes Sonic The Hedgehog. Brandon: He was the first to ask me if I was a boy or girl, and when I told him, get got all giggly and asked if I had a boyfriend. He's smart, and a charmer, but he's naughty. Still, he likes my music and he's cute and fun so I love him. His dad is in jail and his fat mom has a new boyfriend. Brenda: She can write her name sooooooo good! And she's so well-behaved for a 5 year old. I love her. Gustavo: He's a handful and won't sit still at story time, but he's soooooo sweet. He cannot at all write his name. But he tries really hard. And he's a good boy. His favorite colors are Black n Yellow and he sings the song. He's a good boy. Even if he is naughty. He doesn't speak english too well. Like when we're about to go home, he's like, "We go to the house now?" instead of, "we go home now?" Ashton and Aiden: Special needs blonde twins that look 3 but are 5. Can't write, can't read, can hardly talk, can't hold their pee. Like, I dunno. But I'm working on telling them apart right now. Most of the time they get special help and I'm not with them. Xi'Asia: Some kind of Mexican. Idk. Cries a lot for attention. Doesn't focus. Constantly losing her shoe. Tries to bring her big brother (my age) in every morning. She's our only naughty girl but she's so sweet. And she picks up crayons soooooo fast. Alexandra: Smiley, smart, and shy. Wish I knew her better. Diego: I don't get this kid. He can behave, and he's really smart. Hew just doesn't try. Also, his spoken English is very very limited. But he's got these big dark eyes and this silly grin! Andres: This guy is just like Alexis. He speaks out of turn a lllll theeee tiiiiime but it's because he's so exited! I love tickling him because he laughs and is like Again! Again! I think people need to pay attention to him more at home because he seems bright, just under-stimulated. Francisco: Just showed up today, mom dropped him off high, and about a week and a half late for summer school, not even registered. So we took him in and neither of them spoke English. By the end of the day he could almost write his name, had learned all of his colors, and most of his alphabet, and how to use glue and scissors. He is SO SMART.
