"...The patient has been comatose for three weeks now." The nurse finished reading off the information from the clipboard she held, standing loyally next to the doctor as he examined the girl laying in bed.
She was a pretty thing, choppy brown hair providing another comfort between her head and the pillow. There were two piercings on both of her ears, and the doctor had no doubt the patient would have been a rebellious girl.
"What did you say her name was, Miss Reah?" The doctor said after a moment, straightening up his posture and lifting himself out of the chair he had ever so graciously plopped himself in.
Miss Reah turned to the door, glancing once at the clipboard. She had already forgot the girl's name. "Olivia Griffon."
The doctor rose his eyebrows as he turned to the door. "The senator's daughter?"
"Yes sir, I believe so." Miss Reah replied, following after him. She pressed her clipboard close to her chest, glancing back at the sleeping girl.
"Such a shame. A good family, the Griffons." The doctor remarked lightly, one hand tucking itself away in his pocket. Miss Reah's lips pursed a little in displeasure at that.
"That's a funny joke, sir."
As the door closed, Olivia jumped off from her spot on the table. She studied her translucent arms and the long thread of black that was tied around her pinky to her body in the bed. She gave a little shrug after glancing at it for a moment, following the nurse out of the now closed door.
"I didn't get it."
