Well, the recovery discs arrived a whopping 18 hours after I ordered them. How that happened, I will never know. In a daze, I learned and mastered the command prompt and backed up my needed files from my hard drive, which is still shocking me. This is a good experiance, I guess. I've learned things about computers that I'd not have known if the bloody thing hadn't up and died on me.
In any case, I'm going to be hard at work this weekend, delving into the mind of this machine, and forcing it back under my will. Wish me luck! biggrin
