This is the last year of the John Mayer Learning Experience. He isn't certified for PE or something, so no more PE teacher.
This is a story I wrote randomly today. Actually, it was inspired by this weird thing that happens all the time but really got me in religion. Sometimes, I just kinda shudder for a second, and it's really weird. So, that's the inspiration behind this story which has no title because it was just a random flutter of my imagination.
Charla backed slowly away from Maria, shaking. Her back hit the wall, and she began to slide along the wall, her big blue eyes wide and staring at Maria. Charla's frightened look was starting to freak Maria out. She couldn't stand it for a moment longer.
"Stop it!" she shouted. Charla lurched suddenly at the shout and cried out as her shoulder crashed into the next wall. Maria stepped forward at the cry without thinking. This turned out to be a mistake.
With a small whimper, Charla pressed herself into the corner, her eyes still staring, but no longer at Maria. Instead, her gaze rested on nothing, just empty air, staring, staring, staring. It unnerved Maria more than before.
For her part, Charla was frightened beyond what she could handle. She shook violently for a few seconds, unable to stop or move in any other way. Her shaking stopped for a moment, and she took the opportunity to sink to the floor. But before she could make it all the way to the floor, the shaking overtook her again. Charla couldn't move, couldn't breathe. She just shook. After a minute, her shaking subsided, and she sank the rest of the way to the floor.
Charla's shaking deeply troubled Maria. She started forward to see what was wrong, but as she drew closer, Charla's gaze flashed to meet Maria's concerned look. Instantly, Charla's eyes focused and changed from cloudy blue to ice.
"Get away from me," Charla said coldly. Shocked by her sudden iciness, Maria took a step back. "Don't come near me," Charla said flatly. "I don't want you anywhere near me, and if you ever come near me again, I can't guarantee that you won't get hurt."
"I was just trying to help," Maria retorted angrily. She turned on her heel and stormed our of the room. She didn't stop until she was as far from Charla as she could be within the school.
Back in the classroom, Charla fell limp against the wall. She stared at the empty air where Maria had just been. She knew she had just gone too far, but she hada known it would have to be done eventually, so as to keep herself from hurting Maria ever again. And slowly, her head dropped, and her shoulders began to shake as she started to cry.
I'm not particularly fond of that ending. I was trying to wrap it up and not have it be too long. Beside, it was just a random idea. No real point to it, I suppose. I do rather wonder what set that situation up though.... xd
