This could very well be a rather depressed-sounding entry. Or perhaps not; maybe to others it will just sound a tad apathetic, or detached.
Either way, or no way at all, I suppose I'll start off with the Saturday before Halloween: visiting a haunted cornfield with three of my friends. I really had fun at that cornfield, and in some parts (actually a whole bunch) it was so foggy (from mist machines or whatever) that we could hardly see five feet in front of us! And, of course, there was a chainsaw (leaf-blower) guy at the end, who jumped out of the corn and starting chasing us. However, I didn't run. My friends all screamed (it's a cornfield-Halloween thing) and ran forward, as we were well in sight of the end of the maze, where there was a small crowd of humans milling around in the light. But as I mentioned, I did not dash towards the end; I just continued strolling, and the leaf-blower guy ran right past me! Powers of the chameleon, people! After seeing this all happen, I shouted, "my group just abandoned me!" Eventually, after watching the leaf-blower guy calmly jog back past me and into the corn, I was able to located my friends in the miniature crowd. The whole event was quite amusing, really. XD
But today, the day of Halloween, the mood has changed. Normally I go trick-or-treating (you're never too old for that)with my two friends (who were in the cornfield with me), but one is kind of lame and doing something, and the other is doing something even less important. The fact is, they can now officially be considered the lame adults who see very little color in the world. Maybe one more than the other. The friend I was going to go trick-or-treating with (the other cornfield friend) is sick. Asteroids. Other friends of mine are either A) going to a gymnastics thing, B) not answering their phone, or C) probably doing something with their girlfriend so I just won't bother calling. And then the rest I don't have the phone numbers of (I'm really bad about things like that...).
So I'm abandoned. Not that I won't be going trick-or-treating--I'll just be going alone. Unless one of those friends (one of the not-sick ones) redeems themselves and comes later. So I'll just have to hope for that...
