The New Year looks an awful lot like the old one... |

I hope everyone had a good New Year's celebration. I think mine would have been better had I not been sick during it... Of course, I'm still sick, and currently at work. Not a good combination since I have to deal with all of the people who come in. Thankfully, it's not anything that will make anyone else sick.
Anyway, I discovered recently that during the 3 hour break when Curves is closed, I can use the dvd player that was set up for the Weight Program to watch movies. Why I never saw this earlier, I have no idea. But at least there are three hours during the day in which I can be entertained.
I've been working on typing up some of the chapters that I've written, only to realize that I skipped an entire section of the story. So, right now I'm working on writing the chapter that should've been written earlier. That's the only problem with writing really late at night, I forget what I have, or have not, written. But, I'm almost done with it, then I can move on to the rest of the chapters. I imagine that I'm about 3/4 the way done. It's the longest thing I've ever written, so it's kind of a weird sensation.
Well, that's all for today. I should get back to what I'm supposed to be doing... which right now is nothing.

One of the greatest days in a college student's life. Why? Because it signifies the end of the semester. No more classes! Granted, there are the finals, but those don't count as class days, therefore, the semester is more or less over. I spent my Dead Day like a true college student. I slept in until around 11 or so then got up. I went into work this afternoon, and I even studied a little. Go me.
Tests shouldn't be too bad. I think the worst will be my history final. The only thing he told us for the final is to "Know our notes cold." Well, that's ~60 pages of notes. So, I figure if I read over them 1-2 times a day until the final, I should be in good shape.
Over break, I plan on doing as little as possible. Sure, I'll go to work and I need to get my stuff together for Japan (pushed back yet again to Summer '07) and then there are family functions, but really, it will hopefully be a time of rest and relaxation. Of course, I know this won't happen, but it's nice to dream.
I actually want to spend the break working on my novel. My goal is to have it done by the time I start the Spring semester. Whether or not I accomplish this is, as of yet, unknown. But I shall try. If not for myself, for my sister. She wants to know what happens and if I don't finish it so she can find out, she'll most likely kill me.
I am hoping that the rest of the year begins to look up. Last week, I think that my kharma was out to get me. The back window of my car was broken. And I mean completely shattered. But, it's made of that safety glass stuff that remains in one piece even when shattered. So, it took nearly a week in order to get the window replaced. Also, I had severe technical difficulties during the last anime club meeting. And carrying a crapload of stuff 1/4 mile with only one of my friends to help me since I couldn't drive my vehicle sucked severely.
On the plus side, I did get a new movie that made me happy, and along with it came three free movie rental coupons. Not a bad deal if you ask me. Also, I FINALLY got the 12th volume of Fruits Basket in the mail the day before yesterday. I've been waiting for this book for two months. I'm so happy...
Well, it's time to close up shop so I'll talk to you all later.

The 12th volume of Fruits Basket was ONCE AGAIN delayed. It was marked for release on September 28. I just got an email saying it's still out of stock and could take another 30 days for it to come in. Volume 13 is supposed to be out October 28... I'll probably get that one before I get 12, which will suck a**...
Well, the play's over and I have callouses (sp?) on my fingers from working the rail. Stupid heavy a** teasers and tormenters... I'm just glad it's over. I can't stand that show and having to see it nearly every night for three weeks began to wear on me. Now, I just have everything else to deal with this semester but it should go a lot smoother.
Turns out I won't be able to go to Japan when I had anticipated. Chances are I'll either just wait a year or go after I graduate, whichever will be more convenient I suppose.
Other things going on... not a lot. I have class in about 30 minutes (really don't want to go but I've already missed one this semester). Halloween is nearly upon us and I almost have my costume ready. Kagura Sohma from Fruits Basket. I had to make a pattern for that little cat bag she carries... I'm not sure what I made... it's kinda like a cat... I suppose... It's cute though. Kinda weird looking but cute.
Um... I can't think of anything else off the top of my head, so I think I'm just going to end this now before the rambling gets worse.
