Well... no one that I know of actually checks my journal here... but I felt like writing some where other than on Onlinejournal, or on my Myspace blog. (neithor of which I update very much)
Anyways at my new job I've noticed a few mysterious things, such as the elevator with 3 buttons. Basement, 1st floor and 2nd floor... the mysterious thing is that there is no floor #2... you can push that button until your finger breaks off it's still not going to take you to floor # 2... so... it makes me wonder...
In this library... on a quite afternoon. People slowly leaving, it's quite... a substitute Security gaurd... pushes the button for floor #2, not knowing that there isn't a 2nd floor... it makes you wonder... does it not? What would this person find if the elevator actually went up... to a 2nd floor?! would they then find themselves in another dimension... another time... when there was a 2nd floor? Or perhaps they would find themselves in a pocket of space... with the most rarest the most amazing and detailed books ever written in the entire span of the worlds existance! Begginning to the end of time...
Just picking up the book and all the knowledge would steam into your mind, forvere implanted there. And the stories would be so detailed, so wonderfull... you'd want to pick them up to read them again and again and again! ...
the only question is... will the elevator take you back? Could this gaurd, take a few of these wonderfull books, many of which not even written yet! and get back into their time and world! Would everything be completly different? Perhaps... or perhaps in the eyes of this gaurd the world has changed because of the eyes they are now seeing through, the knowlegde they now hold...
They could maybe walk in and by a lottery ticket and know the correct answer... and win... hundreds of thousands of dollars! ... okay maybe not. that's stretching it... but it does make the mind think... does it not?
The second mystery... is the Security gaurd that I am substituting for. I'm told by people that he is very tall, and that I'm much nicer than he is. Also that he is on leave and in the hospital... but the real truth behind it? I don't know. All I know are rumors...
and then the 3rd one... which makes me a little worried for the people who work here... seriously! Okay... as a gaurd I'm allowed to get on the computer and use the internet... correct. Well the gaurd before me... seems to spend an awfull lot of time checking out millitary websites... and gun sites... he appears to be a gun fanatic... and even though I myself own and shoot a rifle from time to time... I'm certainly not obsessed with it... so it just makes me worry that one day I'll come into work and find everyone dead and the police outside... because the gaurd snapped and killed everyone.
I don't know... has any one ever heard of a security officer snapping and killing people? I know that there are some security officers who are armed officers. but I don't think I've ever heard of them snapping and just randomly killing people.
These are just a few of the things that have been wandering through my head as I wandered the library... also... walk down the book aisles... over and over and over again... you'll be amazed at what else you'll find... there are sOOO many books but so little time to read them all! it makes me sad... I wish I could read them all *paw paw* waa
Also a few times I saw people standing outside the library holding up signs against the war... things like "don't make war in my name" "put the peace sign up" so on and so forth... and... as much as I dislike war... I still roll my eyes at them... I'm sorry but holding up a picket sign and standing on the side of the street... isn't going to make people take you seriously! ... that's really my only pet peeve about that... yah. ^^ heh.
Okay... all done for now. WEE!
