All over Gaia there are people working desperatly to get that next item of clothing. People scraping their gold together so they can finally get that sought-after item, and prove to the Gaian populace that they are 'cool'. Newbs are feeling left out as they can olny afford peasant clothing, the middle Gaians are looked down on by those who have horded donation items long enough to be able to buy the 'ideal' avater and the Gaians who have collected the uber-expensive items that are lusted after by so many are swamped with beggars looking no further than the pixelated toy next to the posts of that person. Everyone wants one thing: Gold.
I don't think Gaia should be like this. It matters not what your pixel-person is wearing, it matters what you have to say. That's what the Gaian forums are for, chatting, discussing, debating, but above all making friends. It shouldn't be a chore to reach the next materialistic goal, it should be fun. And that's what Nakie Day is all about, you strip off all your items, get down to your greys and show the world that we can all enjoy Gaia, no matter how much gold you may or may not have.
