• Chapter 3


    “I was walking to the plant store to get some seeds, I told you I wanted to get more flowers. I walked in and started to look for the flower so I looked around some more. I was just about to leave but a guy in a black jacket said ‘ forget your daughter she is not what you think she is’ then some one saw and he grabbed his knife and stabbed me. I fell to the floor in pain, I got up to go get you but I was losing my eye sit and fell again. All I could here was voices, I wanted to go get you so badly but I couldn’t get you. Then I here you scream out ‘mom’ I wanted to get up and get you but they where holding me down telling me not to move”, she flinched at the noise the machine made. It was painful just to watch her there in bed, I pulled up a chair and held her hand.
    “ Did you find anything good”, I looked at her then gave her a worm smile.
    “ Yes, I did find a few things. There here in the corner do you want me to try them on”, she just nodded. I got up off the chair and grabbed the cloths then went to the bathroom.
    Kieren was talking to my mom until his phone went off, he answer it. The chair moved and he was saying his good by, then he knocked on the bathroom door.
    “ Yes”, he didn’t say anything then he sighed.
    “ I have to go my mom is worried, will I see you at school”, I didn’t say anything. I was pulling my blue dress on with the high heels. I opened the door and looked at Kieren, he was shocked at first.
    “ I don’t know I don’t have a ride home and I don’t want to be alone all night in my house”, I walked over to my mom as graceful as I could to show how purity I was in a dress. Kieren’s eye where fixed on me, I looked down and laughed.
    “ Why don’t you go home, I don’t want you here with me”, I turned to my mom.
    “ I don’t want to be alone in the house mom”, I looked at her. She could tell how scared I was just by my face, she sighed.
    “ Then what”, Kieren stepped up to the bed to talk.
    “ My mom would love to have her over, my dad left when I was a kid. Its just my mom my brother and me, we have a extra room”, I looked at my mom. She held out her hand at him.
    “ Call her”, he pulled out his hand calmly and call the number. He said some things then handed the phone to my mom.
    “ Hello”, she was quiet for the longest time. “Yes, she is. Please do so.”
    “ Ok she’s in your hands know”, she handed the phone back to him. Then looked at me.
    “ No massing around know, she has a kid over there. And I will kill you if you do do anything”, I nodded. I kissed her forehead.
    “ Thanks mom”, I went to the bathroom and got dressed. I went back over to her, she gave me the keys to the house.
    “ Get cloths and get over to there house got it”, I nodded.
    “ Got it mom, sweet dreams mom”, she mumbled something then waved me off. Kieren laughed when we got out of the room.
    “ Is your mom that mean”, I nodded.
    “ She doesn’t want me over at your house that’s all, and we are not doing anything ether”, he raised his hands up like I was a cop.
    “ If I do you can handcuff me, look I promise I wont do anything”, I nodded and went to his car. The lights went on and I saw it was a jeep, it had a lift.
    “ You didn’t tell me you had a jeep”, he laughed.
    “ Hey it’s a four by four, its good for me. Get in”, I was easy to get into. The seat belts where a little hard for me Kieren had to help me with it. The wind blow my hair allover the place, we pulled up to my street then stopped in front of my house. Something didn’t seem right, it felt like something was inside.
    “ Hey do you have a light or something”, he looked in the back then handed me the light. I took a beep breath then walked to the house, I had my bags in my hand with keys and the light in the other. I got to the door and opened it then turned on the light, I went to the stairs then in my room. My bag was still on my bed where I left it, I pulled it to the ground the found my paper. I grabbed it the pushed it into the bag then zipped it shut, I put my stuff up and grabbed a bag and filled it with cloths to wear. When I finished I went to the kitchen, I walked by the table then noticed another rose but this time it was white and no letter. I studied it for a few minutes then I put it back on the table and locked the house, I walked back to the jeep but Kieren wasn’t there.
    “ Kieren where are you, I’m ready know”, I throw my stuff in the back and made shore it wouldn’t fly out. I saw a shadow next to the house, I shouted. “ Kieren hurry up, what are you doing over there”, I waved at the shadow but it didn’t move. Something made a sound on the driver side and I looked away then looked back and it was gone, Kieren jumped in and I flipped out.
    “ What can I not get in my own car,” I sighed in relief.
    “ Don’t scare me like that.”
    “ Sorry I really didn’t mean to scare you, how where you yelling at anyway”, I looked at him then at the house.
    “ I was yelling at you, you where by my house so I told you to hurry up”, he just looked at me with concerned eyes.
    “ I hate to tell you this but I wasn’t over there I was over by the mail box”, I looked back at the house where the shadow was at it was still gone. I shook my head. “ Whatever lets go”, he drove off back to the high way.

    He didn’t live that far from me, only a few miles to walk but that was it. The front porch lights where on and the door opened, a kid ran out to us. I got out and Kieren got my bag for me, we walked to the house.
    “ Kieren, Kieren, your home”, he picked up his brother and hugged him.
    “ Hey Blane I want you to know my friend Anglia”, I smiled at him and he smiled back.
    “ Hi Anglia I’m Blane and that’s are mom Sarah”, I laughed. He is so cute for a kid, We walked up to the door. Sarah hugged Kieren then she turned to me.
    “ So your Anglia, I’m sorry for your mom. I just hope you will feel right at home here”, she hugged me then we walked through the hallway into the kitchen. It was a half light blue and half yellow in the living room was bigger then the kitchen with three big couches then a big TV, I went inside a room that was I guess my room. It was a dark gold and had red window drapes the carpet was a sandy color, it all went together and makes me feel like I’m at home. Kieren sent my stuff down and walked to the living room and turned on his X Box 360, I moved to the couch to see what he was going to play. Halo2, I never really play games like this so it was my first time seeing this.
    “ Do you want to play”, he set another controller up for me.
    “ Um, I never really played any game before”, he looked at me and laughed. But he saw my face and stopped.
    “ You never played X Box 360, never”, I shook my head. He got up and sat next to me then handed me a controller, he set it on one player then the game began. “ Lets see what you got”, I started to walk into a tunnel then someone started to shout at me. I messed around with the controller until I know all the buttons, I ran out and shout the guy and walked on. Soon there where at leased ten guy I had to kill, I only shout six then got killed. Blane sat next to me and just watched me play, sometimes he would tell me to shout something I never saw in the game. I got killed again, and I handed the controller to Kieren and he laughed at me.
    “ Man my hands hurt”, I laughed at myself.
    “ Its ok, you will get use to it. Know watch me play so you can learn more,” I did watch him he was way more better then me. He passed me up on the game even though I didn’t get far, he got to a part where he almost dies but the backup came and he was saved. “ See its hard at first but when you play it over and over again you will get a hang of it”, I played four more times then stopped. I went to my room to get my night cloths, it was just blue jeans and a long gray shirt. I came back out to find Kieren still in the same spot, I didn’t want to bother him but I wanted to take a shower.
    “ Can you show me your shower”, I looked up at me and then paused the game and got up. He walked over to the next door then opened it, he pulled the shower curtains open and started he water.
    “ Hot or cold”, I put my stuff down next to the sink.
    “ Hot”, he made the water hot for me then left me alone. I locked the door and started to take my cloths off, I set them next my other cloths. The water was more hot but still had a little cold in it which made it feel good on my skin.

    I was just about to get out when a cold breeze brushed agents my shoulder, I looked over to see what had happened. It was a rose in the middle of the room, I froze even though I had hot water on me I felt cold. I stopped the water and grabbed the towel that was left out for me, I rapped it around my cold body. No one is in here but you, but how did the rose get in her if the door is locked. I wanted to scream but I kept my mouth shut, is Kieren giving me the roses. No he wouldn’t. I hurried up and got dressed, I unlocked the door and stepped out into the living room.. Well I thought it was the living room, the floor wasn’t carpet and here was no lights on just one candle light lit. Then something moved past me, I jumped at the cold breeze all of a sudden.
    “ Hello, is some one here. Kieren don’t do this to me, not know please”, a cold hand was on my shoulder. I turned to see how it was, but all I could see was his teeth and brown eyes. He was in the shadow, but his teeth and eyes glowed. I screamed and his hand let me go, I covered my eyes and ran back to the door I came in. I closed it and fell to the floor, it wasn’t long until Kieren ran inside and saw he on the floor. He ran to my side then got on the floor next to me, he just looked at me.
    “ Are you ok, did you injure yourself”, I shook my head. I hugged him close to me, I was glade he came in. He picked me up off the floor and walked into the living room and sat me down, he wiped my tears off of my check. “ What happened”, I hesitated to say something.
    “ I thought I saw someone behind me”, he rubbed my shoulder.
    “ No one was in there”, he hugged me close to him. His body was worm and mine was cold, I dropped my hand and he pulled away to see what was I doing. Why was I so cold, I have never felt this cold in my life.
    “ Your freezing I’ll get you a blanket, just wait here”, I leaded my head on the couches arm. I folded my arms over my chest, everything around me felt cold. I closed my eyes shut so the image would go away but it wasn’t, my eyes opened to find Kieren coming back with a big blanket. He laid it on me but it didn’t help, Kieren sat me up and put my head on his shoulder.
    “ Hey Blane, can you turn on the X Box”, he came out of his room and did what he said. He went back into his room and closed the door behind him, Kieren was playing Halo2 still. “ You can go to sleep if you want, I’m going to play this all night if I have too”, I didn’t say anything I was still to scared. But my eyes gave up on me and I fell asleep.

    Every know and then I could here voices calling my name again.
    “ Anglia, Anglia come to me.”
    “ No don’t came near me, I want to be alone”, the voices didn’t stop. Then something touched my shoulder.

    I sat up in my bed, my face was full of sweat. I looked to my right side and Kieren was there, he had his back to me. I wanted to get out of bed but I felt week inside and was afraid of falling, I laded back down and put are back were they where. I still felt cold even thought I was sweating, it wasn’t easy to go back to sleep but I did it anyways.
