(Scene one)
[open on students walking out of school sun is shining kids are talking in back ground. 4 kids made up of 2 boys and 2 girls walk out of school. Girl 1: (Raven) has on a purple and black plaid skirt, and black t-shirt, and high calf combat boots black hair is pulled in to pig tails with purple stripes. Boy 1: (Jay) has on a deep tan kaki cargos, and blue top with sneakers messy dirty blond hair. Girl 2: (Amber) has on light blue low ride jeans and pink top and matching sneakers with same hair color as Boy 1 is pulled in to a long pony tail. Boy 2: (Zack) has on a deep red t-shirt and black cargos with matching boots sort spiky black hair.]
Jay: (walking along side the others moves back pack slightly then speaks) so what should our myth be about?
(Looking to the others as they walk down the street)
Raven: (looks over at him) well…. There is the legend of how this town was made. You know the story of Princess Mora and Prince Kalos.
Amber: (slightly annoyed but still friendly) Raven you know that story isn’t even true and Mr. Bullright said (putting on a deep yet wheezy voice) ‘your myth and legends have to have historical backing.’ (End wheezy voice)
(All laugh)
Jay: (stops and looks at his sister) still sis we don’t hear you or Zack adding any thing to it.
Amber (mumbles to her self something like neither are you)
Zack: (looks at the group) the legend of the Two Kingdoms is the best thing we can all thing of and the teacher didn’t say what kind of historical proof we needed and they have found Princess Mora’s diary so that settles it, (playfully evil smirk) and besides your prissy highness don’t you want to play princess for day?
Raven: (looks at Zack and smiles) thanks Bro,
Zack: (returns grin) no problem.
Amber (sighs in defeat as she walks up a white porch and in to her and Jays house in side its small town travel brochure-ish with) ok you win so want to fill us in on the myth. (as she sits down on the sofa)
(Zack sits next to Amber on the left sofa Jay and Raven on the right hand one)
Zack: Gladly.
(close on them sitting around. open on a forested kingdom pristine cottages line the streets of the city a large castle gold in color rising over them all to the left is a silver colored castle with a village laid out just like the golden castles village with small amounts of trees to the left of the forested kingdom Zack’s voice is herd off sage over speakers)
Long ago before this town was even thought of and before that even lived two kingdoms. The kingdom of Hive and the Kingdom of Plane, these two kingdoms did not live in peace with one and other…. Till the princess of Plane Princess Mora and the prince of Plane Prince Kalos fell in love. This is there story…..
(close on two kingdoms open on a young girl in a pink and silver trimmed dress with long flowing blond hair adorned with a silver and turquoise tiara walking down the cobble stone street with attending friends also adorned in royal clothing)
Mora: (looking to redheaded friend on left) Kara are the plans for my birthday party this weekend going well?
Kara: (bowing her head and looks back up worry in her voice) yes your highness but having you party in the forest is not wise Hive may have spies sent to harm you.
Others: (nod there agreement )
Mora: (smiling dismissing there worry with a wave of her hand) I know if the risks but father will just have another boring ball and ill have to dance with every suitor in the land I want to have a party that I made and help paned my self.
Realah: (looks up at her and nods then looks away still worried about this) yes malady but the risk to you is to grate if King Luther finds out about your party there is no telling what Hive will do to you.
Mora: Realah (lifting her chin) all will be fine I promise you.
(All walk away)
(In the corner of the ally a boy in dark green Robin Hood-ish out fit steps out of hiding followed by a boy the same age a Mora in Royal blue)
Oran: (looks to the other) Prince Kalos your Father will relish this news.
Kalos: (looks off after Mora and her friend as they walk away enamored by her beauty)
Oran: (waves hand in front of eyes) Kalos?…. Kalos?
Kalos: (jumps with a start) Yes… yes father will love this news but what stuns me more is that her birthday and my own are on the same day.
Oren: (looks at him puzzled but blows it off) come on we must move fast and get back to Hive castle.
[End scene one]
[Scene Two]
(Open on the throne room of Hive castle King Luther sits on a gold embellished throne with emeralds on the back spires Kalos, Lance, Renlad, and Oren kneel before him Kalos is the first to speak)
Kalos: (stands with hands claps behind his back) Father Oren and I where the ones to learn of this news, please allow us to teach that prat what happens when she leaves the safety of her lands.
[Aside] this is the best hope I have of seeing her again and any hope I have to stopping this war he must allow me this.
King Luther: (looks at his son with a scrutinizing gaze then speaks) very well you, Oran, Lance, and Renald will bring that insolate brat to me, alive.
All: [bow and walk out]
(in Kalos’s room a large green four poster bed takes up the middle of the far wall Kalos and friends are seated around a small table looking at maps of the forest and Plane Kingdom)
Lance: (points to a spot on the map a large glade with a pond on the south side) there that’s where the party will be.
Renald: (looks at him puzzled as do the others) how is it you know this
Lance: (sits back looking cocky) well I saw the Princess of scum and her flunkies out there scouting it out and talking about the party.
Kalos: (looks at the others and leans over the maps) good now all we need is the invites to the party.
Oren: (looks at him) that wont be to hard all they know of you is your name not how you look and they know nothing of Lance Renald and I.
Kalos: (nods and looks to the others) I will get the invites (stands and wave to the door) you are dismissed you are to get middle classed out fits for your self’s I will call on you when I get back.
All: (stand and bow as they walk out)
(Kalos walks down the streets of Plane in less then royal clothes a plain yellow shirt and brown leather pants and boots)
Kalos: [aside] where is she I must see her again, yet she is an enemy of father and I of her. would she even talk with me oh she must if my plane to end this war is to work I will need her help in doing so and what better way to end this feud then the prince and princess of the kingdoms fell in love then father would have to see the light of resign (walks in to Leah as she walks out of a shop) Oh! I’m sorry.
Leah: (looks at him and smiles) Oh its ok.... if never saw you before did you just move here?
Kalos: (smile and nods) yes.... well mother my brothers and I will be mother sent me a head to find a house for us.
Leah: (smiles back and looks him over ) I have a friend that I think you may like her name is Mora (takes out a scroll tied with a silver and turquoise bow) hear this weekend be at the glade in the woods by willow pond at 7.
Kalos: (takes the invite and bows his head) thank you kindly if I may be so bold to ask but may I bring my brothers as well?
Leah: yes of course by the way I’m Leah, (holds out hand)
Kalos: (takes her hand and kisses the back of it) I am Kane,
Leah: (smiles and blushes a bit) it was a pleasure meeting you.
Kalos: the pleasure was all mine, to be treated like an equal by one a noble as your self.
(back at hive castle in Kalos's room every thing the same as last time Oran Lance and Renald sit around the same table looking at the scroll)
Kalos: Ok we have the invite and that Leah girl will tell Mora that we are a merchant’s wives sons who are moving to Plane. They believe me to be a boy by the name of Kane so from now till the party do not call me by my name and get use to calling me Kane under stand?
All: (nod)
Oren: (gets up and walks to the window that looks over the forest) so we make the move then and take her back hear?
Kalos: (moving to his side and looking to where he is) yes. (looks back at him and the others) but do not harm her under stand?
Others: (nod) yes. (all but Kalos walk out leaving him the room alone)
(Zack’s voice is heard over speakers again as you see Mora and her friends on stage preparing for the party in the glade stringing silver and turquoise glass bubbles with candles in them in the trees as well as same colored ribbons )
For the next five days Mora and her friends prepared the glade for her party unaware that the guest that Leah invited where Hive spies but believed that they there sons of a merchant seeking to set up home and shop in Plane as the days pasted the stage was set for out two lovers to meet…..
(The glade is decorated as described before a small raised plat form on the far side holds up musician’s flutist harpist and mandolin players play as the candle bubbles sway in the trees casting there colored light over the glade Mora stand at the shore of the pond in a pail purple dress tiara on her head the others dance around as she looks for Kalos and his friends)
(Kalos walks out in to the glad Oren and lance at his side dressed in semi royal clothes Kalos in light blue Oran in light green lance in pail orange)
Mora sad walks over to Kalos and the others and bows her head) greetings I'm Mora I assume you are Kane
Kalos: (bows and takes her hand lightly in his and kisses the back of it and smiles up at her) yes milady you honor me with such formality it is i that should bow to you
Mora: (giggles) then let us say we are both honored by the other
(Lance and Oren start to mingle with the guest waiting for there time to strike)
Kalos: (looking at Mora in the eyes) may I have this dance
Mora: you may (smiles and allows him to lead her off in to the dancing crowd)
(both start a waltz)
Kalos: dear princess you must be very bold to hold your party this close to the Hive kingdoms lands
Mora: (looking both insulted and completed at his words then looks around and moves closer to him and whispers so only he can hear) in truth I am hoping to be captured, so I may have a chance to stop this war.
Kalos: (stops shocked from her words) that is bolder then what one could read in to this party. (looks over at Oren dancing with Realah) is there some where we can go to talk in private?
Mora: (looks at him then back a Kara and the others then nods seeing then busy with Oren and the others) yes there is, (takes him behind and under the branches of a large weeping willow then turns and looks at him) what is it you wish to talk to tell me that could not be said out in the company of my guest?
Kalos: (looks at her then back over his shoulder to make sure no one followed him) princess I must tell you I am not a son of a merchant, nor is may name Kane. My name is Kalos prince Kalos of Hive Kingdome my father sent me and my friends to capture you, but I can’t for I like you wish to have peace in our lands and stop this war.
Mora: (shocked and dumbfounded by what he just said)
(out side the braches Oren Lance and Renald look on shocked that there prince and best friend just betrayed there plans)
Mora: (steps away from him and falls to a sitting pose on a large rock on he ground)
Oren: (looking to the others and whispers to them) our mission is now to capture both the princess and the traitor.
Lance: (steeping in front of him and the tree) he’s lying to gain her trust.
Oren: (pushing him back) we can’t be sure.
(Back in the tree)
Kalos: (looking away from her embarrassed) it’s hard for me to tell you this, it’s just for this to work, we both must betray our family and friends to do so.
Mora: (finally finding her voice) its ok I know father will help that is why he allowed this party of mine, (walking over to him) father knew your father would send some one to do what you where trying to do.
Kalos: (smiling) I am glad you’re not mad.
(Back out side of the tree)
Oren: (looks at the others and nods grimly) we can’t wait any more.
(Oren Lance and Renald rush in and quickly tie up and gag both Mora and Kalos)
(Zack’s Voice is heard again over speakers)
Back at Hive castle Mora was taken before King Luther while Kalos was locked away in the dungeons nothing is known of what was said between Mora and the King but soon word of Mora’s capture spared to King Gale, sending Plane kingdom in to a rage soon the final battle will start….
End Scene Two
Scene Three
(seven days later open on Plane army out side of the castle in the court yard King Gale sits on top of a white stallion in silver armor looking at his men (also in silver armor) banners of silver and turquoise flap high over head princess Mora’s tiara is held up over head to the gasps of the assembled)
King Gale: (in a loud commanding but still kind and warm voice) Princess Mora was meant to be taken to Hive, you know that now. Her mission was to discuss a peace treaty between our two kingdoms. For too long, our kingdoms have been at war with the others. You all know that 40 years ago Luther was my right hand man and royal advisor but fate declared that we would be enemies, and in his lust for power he tried to take over my thrown, and was banished for his treachery and since that day the war was born. Now Luther was given the chance for peace, and he mocks it as it is laid before him. Sealing his fate, Mora is in Hive castle, Luther has forced his end to come before his mortal time is called. Tonight we march on Hive castle and tare him from his seat of power once and for all! (Thrusts his fist is to the air)
All assembled (cheer and pound picked staff ect. on the ground)
(Hive castle dungeon gray light falls on Mora and Kalos hands bound behind there backs Oren Lance and Renald stand guard out side the door)
Kalos: (wiggling arms trying to free his hands) we have to get out of hear.
Mora: (looking down at her knees bound the same as he was a large burse on her face) How? Even if we can get out we can’t stop the war our fathers will stop at nothing till the other is dead.
Kalos: (wiggles over to her and with his shoulder pushed her chin up and looks her in the eye) you dared to make peace between your father and mine, you should know what with peace sacrifices have to be made that we both must be willing to except no matter the cost of it.
(out side the door)
Lance: (turning to the others and hiss whispers) Is that such a crime what we betray our friend.
(Back in the cell)
Mora: (smiles some and looks up at him) Yes but I fear that the price will be paid in blood to steep to afford if we should fail
(With that she starts to help him untie his bonds)
(Out side the cell Oran and the others look on as Lance turns to them again)
Lance: (gestures to the window in the cell door at Kalos and Mora) Those two should be enemies of the other! Yet look they are helping one and other to bring peace to the land, is that such a crime that we lock them away?
Oren: (looking to the others then at the floor deep in thought then looks up) No. No it’s not.
Renald: so we help them.
Oren: Yes (pulls them in to a huddle and looks at each in turn) Renald you get spare armor for Kalos and the dress for the Princess Lance you get a carriage that used by the healers to traffic the sick in and out of the castle.
Lance: And you?
Oren: I have the key ill get them out and ready for.
(The two boys nod and head off to get what they where told)
(Back in the cell)
Kalos: (rubbing now unbound hands) Now all we need is a way out and past the guards,
Mora: (nodding rubbing her wrist)
Kalos: (walks slowly over to the mettle door as Mora follows with a tentave gaze)
Oren: (sticking his head in to the small barred window) Did I hear you say you need a way out?
Kalos: (glaring darkly at him venom in his voice) I’ll kill you! You Lance and Renald when I get out of hear you traitors scum! (spits on face) friend ship is more important then the orders of a king!
Oren: (whipping spit from face with an effort to keep calm) I deserve that I really do, but could you kill us after we spring you and your girl friend and stop this war?
Kalos: (blushing some) She’s not my girl friend.
(at the same time)
Mora: (blushing as well) I’m not his girlfriend.
Kalos:…. Wait your getting us out?
Oren: (smirking) Yep stand back.
(clicking of the lock and the door swings in just as Renald comes running back with the armor and the dress)
Renald: (out of breath) We have to hurry King Luther is talking of marching on Plain with the princess body hanging from his banner.
Mora (shocked gasp of horror)
Oren & Kalos: (looks sickened)
Kalos: Then let us move before he can even sharpen his ax any more on that thought.
Renald: (nods and hands him plane foot shoulders armor and a med helm) It’s the best I could do,
Kalos: (strapping on the armor plates and slipping the helm on his head) It will have to do, (smirking some) I’m guessing you didn’t find my sword did you?
Renald: (smiles and pulls a elegant but deadly looking sword case with sword in it from his back and hands it to him sheath first)
Kalos: (smiles) thank you
Oren: (looking to Mora ) now all we need to do is make her look sick)
Renald: not a problem (pulls out a tattered drab dress just her size) all she needs to do is put it on and act sick as we can get out of here in the Healers cart Lance is getting for us.
Mora: (looking from one boy to the other and roles her eyes) ok but I’m not dressing with you watching me
Boys: (nod and hand her the dress and close the cell door as Mora changes Oren and Renald try and seek a look but Kalos jams them both in the ribs)
Mora: (soon walks out with the tattered dress on hers is seen in a pile on the floor grim from the cell smeared on her face to make her look sicker as well as a well honed limp that the boys rush to help her forgetting it was all a act)(looking up at Kalos) I’m ok.
Kalos: (nods but keeps his hands on her side to help her stand then looks at Oren and Renald) One of you go and tell Lance to hurry.
Oren: (nods and heads off to the stables ahead of them)
Kalos: (helps Mora along the hall way) In a few hours this will all be over.
(the court yard is seen a head of them the army assembled green and gold banners flapping over head King Luther sits on a palomino stallion in gleaming black armor with gold trim)
King Luther: (loud commanding fear educing voice) …… Gale is a fool sending his child to talk of peace between our lands to night we will so that fool what happens to those that turn soft in war times. To night Gale dies!
Kalos: (clenches fists)
Renald: (puts hand on shoulder) We cant stay, we have to move be for we are seen.
Kalos: (nods and keeps a protective hand on Mora as he walks off to the stables)
(in the stables Lance sticks his head out of one stall with a covered cart the same used by the healers to taxi the sick to other treatment centers)
Kalos: (climbing in to the cart as Oren gets in to the drivers seat as lance gets in to the back) We have to hurry. Father is talking to marching to Plain to night.
Mora: (gets in to the cart and lays under the blankets there) We won’t get to Plain in time.
Kalos: (looks back at his friends) We wont have to get all the way to Plain just to the army, and stop them before father can get to them.
Oren: ok (snaps the rains and head off)
(Zack’s voice is heard again)
With the help of Oren Lance and Renald Kalos and Mora made it out of the castle, and not even 4 miles from Hive did they see the banners of Plain cresting over the horizon, only to see the ever advancing banners for Hive behind them. Our heroes pull off to the side be hind a thick bramble and look on forming a plain to stop the fight
Mora: (on her knees looking back at the Hive army) We cant out run them and stop the war.
Kalos: (grimly unsheathing his sword) Then we will have to fight
(Oren Lance and Renald take out there sword and nod grimly as well)
Oren: We vowed to serve you.
Lance& Renald: We will keep that word now.
Mora: (pleading) Please cant we try to resign with our fathers? Before we turn to the sword?
(The army set up readying for an attack)
Kalos: (looks at her and nods) Ok we can try it, (looks to Oran and the others) If this dose not work do what ever you have too to see my father fall from power, with him out of the way the war will be over.
Oren, Lance & Renald: (nod grimly) We will,
(the army is seen getting ready to attack just as the battle cries start Mora and Kalos throw them self’s in front of the armies Kalos facing Plain Mora Hive)
Both: (screaming) STOP!
Gale: (shocked) What is this Trick? Mora, get out of the way this instant.
Luther: (annoyed) Boy you and your harlot get out of the way now!
Kalos: (turns and looks at his father) Don’t call her that she more noble then you would ever be!
Mora: (putting a hand on his shoulder and whispers to him) Let it go. (To all) I came to you willing to make peace with your land Luther, you may call me what ever it is you like but the offer to rejoin our to lands still stands.
Luther: the day I rejoin Plain is the day your father and your bodies lay dead at my feat
(Dismounts sword held high ready to strike her)
Kalos: (be for the blow could fall parries it and fights back and forth with his father) Father you’re a fool, you fight for no resign at all just for your shallow honor!
Luther: (fights back) If you sand with them then you will join there dead!
(Zack’s voice again same as always over the speakers)
Father and son fought back and forth, till the sun sank low neither giving any sign of accepting defeat. Till an arrow out of nowhere stuck Luther in the back of his head killing him instantly. No one, to this day knows who it was that fired that shot, and maybe we will never know. But with a final thud of Luther’s body on the ground the war was over.
Kalos: (panting hard his fathers blood on his face then falls over)
Mora: (gasps and runs to him and catches him)
Kalos: (smiling weakly) I’m ok I just need to rest.
Gale: (loud commanding voice) Luther is dead the war is over. (dismounts from his stallion and walked over to Kalos) But that means that you young king have a choice, will you take my offer to leave in peace by taking my daughters hand in mirage there by sealing our alliance with the other, or will you continue this bloody war till the end of your life?
Mora: (looks up at her father then at Kalos waiting for the answer)
Kalos: (looks at Mora then back at her father) I will take her hand, but not for a while I wish to get to know her more as a friend be for I marry her.
Gale: (smiles and nods) vary well.
(Zack’s voice again)
With that said the two kingdoms reunion started and with in 5 years of that date Mora and Kalos where married. Sealing the alliance of the new Hive Kingdome with the Plane Kingdome and every one lived happily ever after. With the union of Hive and Plain a new Kingdome was made in the middle lands of both a Kingdome we all know better as Gladedale it is said that the weeping willow in the heart of the town square is the same one that Mora and Kalos first spoke to the other.
(open back on Raven Amber Jay and Zack sitting in the living room)
Zack: (sits back smugly) well want to do that for old Bullright’s class
All: (nod) sure
