Far away, where time has slowed,
a castle looms, where love is stowed.
A gallant knight, a well-told tale,
fair-maidens nest, and good wills prevail.
For memories longing, at bedside's voice,
a visit again: imagination's choice.
At night’s fair end, and a bed so soft,
you once slept soundly, to books read oft'.
And minds eye drifts, to places past,
and see that castle there at last.
A childhood smile, from ear to ear,
enough to bring a memories tear.
For lost are the days, which we held near,
of fairy tales and magic revered.
But even though our past is lost,
our memories stay, they're free of cost.
And once in a while, we read a page,
of fierce dragons, and a mystic mage.
And we return to the castle bright,
of a sleeping princess, and a gallant knight.
