There are many speculations on the modern vampire and I would just like to clear a lot of things up for those who think that they might know something about them.
Vampires
Vampires are not allergic to garlic, crosses, light, holy water, silver, or ultraviolet lights. They are not dead. They are not always beautiful nor are they always super strong, fast, etc. They are very common and you probably know a few, but do not realize it. There are a few way to tell that one is a vampire or not. First watch them carefully. Do not make it apparent because they can sense your eyes on them and may not allow you to know that they know you're watching. Examine how they move. Most move with a straight forward and determined step. They are sure of what they are doing and go for it. Most can't be around blood, because it makes them want it. Vampires actually suffer from one of two types of disease. The most common is hematophagy. This is when a person can't create enough blood cells and has to get them from an outside source. They may also have problems coagulating (self-healing mechanism). Most people who suffer from this disease have animal blood sent to them via hospital. Because it is illegal to kill a person, the government must pay for all "meals" for the person suffering from the ailment. The second is still under investigation, but it seems to have to do with neural passages and the ability to break down the the glucose, amino acids and fatty acids to support themselves. They tend to have a very odd reaction to blood, which is an attraction or euphoric state. The danger of these vampires varies from one to the other, but there are three rules to follow at all costs.
1: Do not get them near or around blood, because they can smell it.
2: Do not get them angry. They tend to revert to an animal like frenzy and have an unbelievable blood-lust.
3: Do not, under any circumstance, share what they are if you do find out, because that would put many lives in danger. Government needs test subjects and there are very very few as it is, let alone ones that the government can test. The second danger is that of your own life. Many vampires would much rather kill you than allow themselves to be tested on. The third is the danger to people around. A vampire can go into a rage and frenzy because they may think that they have no other option, because they will die anyways.
