Class started up again on the 4th. I'm so glad to be back in school. A break is nice, but it gets really boring quickly. The instructors split our nursing group into 2 separate groups for this quarter since the material + clinicals would be overwhelming if we did it all at once. So I'm in pediatrics for the first 3 weeks, and OB for the 2nd 3 weeks. After that, we have our 2-3 week leadership clinical period in which we are actually doing nurse work on our preceptor's schedule. As of right now, I'm in class from 8am-4:30pm Monday and Thursday, and I'm in clinicals for 1-3 of the other days depending what my schedule says. I've already completed the registration portion of the licensing exam. $200 has now been lifted from my bank account. xD BUT YAY I'M GRADUATING THIS QUARTER!

Now, from this letter you can't really tell much of the backstory. Deb is my stepmom. I have never met her because she and my dad live in AZ, while I live on the east coast. My mom and my dad got divorced about 10 years ago, and that's about the last time I saw my dad as well. This woman whom I have never met is offering to pay my and my husband's way via airplane to OK for my grandpa's wedding so I can meet my dad, grandpa (whom I havent seen in 11 years), and extended family (whom I havent seen since I was a baby). She is also offering to pay for us to stay in a hotel for a couple nights. Exciting right? Oh yes. Of course I accept this proposal. I love my dad to death and I'd love to see everyone else. So she says okay and forwards me the itinerary. She paid $890 for those tickets (roundtrip). She also forwards me the reservation for the hotel, which is a little over $100. So yeah. I'm a little nervous, but the excitement outweighs it all. My grandpa's wedding is Dec. 29th, so I have a little over 2 months to prepare. Weee~
