Impatience

Taran was quite impressed with the transdimensional move the cats just pulled, but he was still focused on the task at hand. Even the odd spider-like robot and the chainsaw were mere slight distractions. He wasn't waiting for orders, he was ready to leave- now. He was sure Dragon had some plan or another, or thought she was going to partner him with someone, but there was a stone-hard look in his eyes that let everyone know that he preferred to work alone in this. But he was willing to follow Dragon's lead on this... he had this bad feeling that his superiors would take his insubordination to a Blue Dragon Princess fairly seriously.

Zapping Ships

Rose was hardly aware that she was left alone fighting against the incoming enemy ships. Perhaps it was because of Taran's well set up defenses. Perhaps it was because they didn't announce that they were leaving. Or that Nerissa didn't make an announcement over the loudspeaker. But, far more likely than all of those reasons combined, it was because Rose had found a niche.

She was able to use her demonic reflexes and angelic accuracy to shoot down almost every ship that came in range. And the ones she didn't hit directly still were not able to make a hit on the Altsoba due to the offensive defense Rose placed out in space. It was interesting to Rose, somewhere off to the side of her regular thoughts, that she was able to throw force-field spells out into the middle of space like that. Even directly into a ship she could conjure one, and then, just as simply, let it go- though the ship was already sliced neatly into sections.

The hardest part, really, was keeping the debris from the destruction from landing on the Altsoba or from obscuring her vision of the sky around her.

Rose smiled slightly as yet three more Renstok ships were blown apart. Dragon did mention massacre, didn't she? Rose thought absently.
