It's December 23rd in NY, were I live and Christmas for me is....dry this year. My mom and sister are stuck in the hustle and bustle of shopping, my dad hates shopping and has become the new age Scrooge who does carpentry. He's finishing the kitchen. He's an accountant, but he's a handyman. The Christmas spirit is driving me mad. I love Christmas, but this year I just wanna be a hermit hiding in my room with a box a chocolate, a jumprope, and television. Is that so wrong? I do not want to be Cindy Lou Who on the GRINCH WHO STOLE CHRISTMAS, But, Christmas is not Christmas. Everyone is dying, in the holidays people would kill for the last pack of Christmas themed nerds, and someone, I don't know who, KEEPS STEALING MY M&MS!!!!!!! stressed I will find you......
So people, are the holidays the same? Or has the glitter of commericialism dropped from my sight so I can see what Christmas really is? All I wanna do is have my apple pie, sing and bit, and be happy that God died for me. (God is my belief solely, don't have to believe it and trust me, I'M THE LAST person to try to convert)
Maybe I'll sleep on it and Christmas'll pop from under my pillow the next day...
If only things could be that simple, then I'd have an M&M room full of M&M's and M&M themed merchandise......( heart heart heart M&M's........)
