Greek creation myth.
In the beginning there was darkness and chaos. from the darkness came Night and Erebus, the void. Out of the darkness was born love and day. Then from Erebus came Gaea, the earth. She gave birth to Ouranus, Heaven. Their children were the titans, the cyclopes, and the Hecatoncheires, the giants with the hundred hands. Cronus injured Ouranus when he went to have sex with Gaea. From Ouranus's blood came the Giants and the Eryes. Cronus threw his "parts" into the ocean. Cronus knew his son would over throw his, so he started eating his children. Rhea, wife to Cronus, substituted her sixth child, Zeus, with a stone. Zeus forced Cronus to vomit up his siblings. Then, he waged war against his father. with help from the Hecatoncheires and the Titan Prometheus, Zues defeated his father. He sent most of the titans to Tartarus.
