in other news, last night we had our spring band concert. rolleyes man it was fun! 3nodding kinda anyways... but I got my letter for band, and today I got to custom- order my letter jacket, AND I got out of my least- favorite class (science) to do it! whee my dashes aren't lining up tonight... neutral
in art we're doing acrylic paintings. this is the first time I've ever done one, so I'm really nervous about how it'll turn out. its kinda complicated... this is what I'm trying to paint:
I started mixing colors today for it, and I also got started on the keys. but it looks really retarded because it looks black-ish blue (and i have no clue where the blue came from... neutral ) instead of ivory. sad and what REALLY sucks is that I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so it'll probably take me forever to get it just right.
Josie was being really conceited today about her painting that she had at the art show. I was really ticked at her. she said it was "awesome" and was "the best one up there." ... ok i won't delve any further on the painting or I'm gonna get in trouble... ninja and what also got me mad was that she was complaining that her siblings were getting more attention than she did on the way home. well DUH! her brother and sister were actually INVOLVED in things other than regular band! her brother, Jesse, won a $300 scholarship from the Schueler Fund (the founders of it had a kid my age that died in 3rd grade when his head was ran over by a hayrack...) for college, and he's in Senior High Jazz Band. (He plays bass guitar methinks... and his prom date also does, so hence the reason she was his date... =P) and her younger sister, Ashley, was involved in both sevies Drum Line and Jr. High Jazz Band. AND she also did a solo in the Jazz band, and kept switching instruments throughout the night! cool Flute is her native instrument, but she is also learning to play oboe. and for Drum line she and Lindsey did cymbals. it was really funny watching the sevies drum line because when they first walked in, one of the bass drums couldn't see over the top of the drum so he ran into the guy ahead of him... xd and it just happened to by my sister's boyfriend... ironic, isn't it? rolleyes oh and for jazz band for ashley she also did miscellaneous percussion on some of the songs.
oh and eventually when I get my book that I wrote and illustrated for art back (holy heck its worth 300 points... O_O) I think I'm gonna scan each page into the computer and then make a forum out of it. The morning it was due I was showing my friends it and they thought it was a bad ending... rolleyes (I'll hold the surprise until I get it back... ninja ) lol but i thought it ended good and i guess you kinda have to interpret for yourself what it means. you see, i mercilessly kill off the main character on the last page, and make it so that all of the other characters were rejoicing when he died. pirate
and in gaian news: I'm joining with Akeada and D Children to joint-manage Arath_Sag's profile. Arath and Sag are both characters that they drew, and I figured that I could help man the station because I have more computer time than they do... wink however i'm a little worried because since i didn't actually create Arath or Sag, I'm kinda scared that I won't properly portray their personalities... sad oh well. we'll see how things go! cool
and I have also recently blew almost all my gold getting a nice skirt/ outfit for prom here next Friday. I'm almost 75% done with getting the gold that I need to finish off my outfit! 3nodding but its kinda scary that I'm looking forward to an online social event that takes place a fairly long time from now.. sweatdrop believe me, I have absolutely NO social life... cry but I'm ok with that for the most part... rolleyes
and then I'm also confused as to the plan this friday. karen wants to invite some friends over for an actual bonfire, and this time it would only be from like 7:30 to midnight. no sleep-over stuff or anything like that i guess... and there's also a dance on friday. I REALLY don't want to go to it... i'm getting sick of dances. and its 7-10th grade, so the scum is rather more populous. evil its really interesting because in the 7th grade (my sister's grade), most of the kids are boys. there's only like 10 or so girls in the entire grade, and like 30 or so guys. rolleyes elliot was smart when he snatched up karen so fast... wink but then again its kinda early to have a bf/gf, but then again (on yet another hand... good gosh I'm like breeding a monster with multiple hands... O.O) considering the circumstances, its perfectly normal! (for the most part anyways... xP)
i don't really like the updates they made to Gaia. I was fine with the old system... but I'll get used to it! 3nodding cool however this morning, i tried out the find-a-friend thingymabobber. I actually don't have very many contacts on hotmail, but I did get a chain-letter from Josie once that had like half of my class's email addresses on it. so I just used about half of the addresses from that. turns out that one of my classmates has an account here (but its total noob- not a thing was done to develop the account) and one of my distant friends also has an account here! whee hers was also undeveloped, but I'm thinking maybe she'll get the gaia alerts email saying she got a comment and then starting coming back on... so is this person i speak of, you ask? her name is Sam, and her last last name she had was Page. (her mom's been married several times... rolleyes ) anyways she was in our class last year (8th grade), then moved again to Arizona. She and Taylor became awesome friends, and I think they still keep in contact today. 3nodding In the past, I've also had friends from like Texas, but I can barely remember them... cry
so yeah. don't ya love me and my musings? domokun wink its funny how Jenna writes more stories and stuff than i ever will, yet I keep a journal for the most part and she doesn't... neutral rolleyes oh well. we each have our strengths and weaknesses, and journaling just happens to be one of my strengths! cool ok well yeah I should get off now... talk to ya folksies later! biggrin
