Rose: Names and Assignments
Rose sighed as she looked at the group of animals in front of her. There were too many.
Taking ANTIE-D aside, Rose gave her a few instructions, the first of which was to take a digital picture of the entire group, and then enter them in the database. Rose realized they needed names, those that didn't already have them. Taking a printout of the picture ANTIE-D had taken of them, she scribbled out names.
"Take these, tell them that they are to find jobs in the house and suitable living quarters..." with this Rose looked pointedly at the troublesome rock puppy. "Let them know they have until this evening to accept the terms or leave, and that either choice is deemed permanent." Rose sighed. "Niko, Tuli, Jaa, and Nari all are to be given executive power in this house, only less than you or me. They can help decide jobs, living arrangements, security levels, and restircted areas."
Rose looked out over the group one more time, as she thought about things. "The falcoln, Trent, can be the house messenger. The doodad, Creole, can cook. That sort of thing. I want Niko to pick assistants if any of these are worthy. I need guard pets, too. The shaddox, Bob, can live in the attic as a lookout. Pepper anywhere outside or in. But none of them are to live upstairs except... put them in the northwest spare room. The olive-colored one. I don't want them running rampant around the house." Rose said. She closed her eyes for a moment, trying to think if that was all. "One more thing. Let them all know that I will be the only one authorized to allow guests to stay, or anyone to live. Except you, ANTIE-D. Make that abundantly clear, k?"
ANTIE-D smiled softly. She could tell how stressed this whole pet situation had made her. "I will have everything taken care of shortly. I will submit my report when it is done, for your perusal. Go ahead and see to our guests."
Rose nodded and waved at the pets. Nari made to follow her, and she waved her off. Not just yet. Rose mouthed in fairy-tongue. She needed a few minutes of calm.
She left the living room, and stopped just short of the Study door. On the other end, there was silence.

Taran: Agreements
Nodding at Lord Avondale's request, Taran also did not want to reveal more than necessary. "You have my dragoonsworn oath that I will tell nothing of this. My secret may be past saving, at least part of it. I would hope you would not disclose more than necessary of me, either. However, what is or is not known of me does not have consequences on what I know."
With that, he said no more, and waited for Rose to enter.
