I woke up and remembered that the quest was over. Kronos was defeated, but Luke and Percy have been missing for months. I still cry with every memory I get. I never got to tell Percy.... or Luke.... then, my worst nightmare came. It was the minor god of doorways and choices, Janus. The heads re-introduced themselves and they spoke: "Hello, daughter of Athena. Your choosing time has come. Percy is trapped inside the ol' volcano, Mt. St. Helens, and Luke is recovering on the Princess Andromeda. Don't worry, he is safe.... for now, and so is Percy. But choose one of these young men. The one you choose you will be transported to, while I find a way for the other to be killed. Choose wisely." I shook my head. I couldn't choose.... the one who betrayed me, or the one who made me angry through being utterly stupid? I wanted Luke, but what would I do if I lost Percy? Another few years of sorrow or joy? Or both? "You may not choose both, child." the left face said. I sighed. I HAD to choose one. Not even Hera could stop it. Like she had said, she had only postponed my choosing. I remembered the many things I had been through to get to Luke, and how many dangers I had faced with Percy by my side. "I...I... choose Percy." "Very well." the right face said. Next thing I knew,
I was inside Mt. St. Helens, Percy shivering and tied to chains next to me. He was cut and bruised, and, he looked pale. But refuge found me when I saw a canteen of nectar next to me. I stuffed it down his throat, and soon he shimmered with health, but he still was weak, just like me when we went to Polyphemus' island. I smiled and took his hand in mine. "You'll be fine, Percy." He looked at me, and smiled. That kind that makes your heart melt. "I'll get you out of this and we'll talk then." I said, and he nodded. I undid the chains. He stood up, and I realized how much taller he was now. "Did you betray us?" I asked. He shook his head slowly. "Kronos was pretty ugly." he said sarcastically. I laughed, and pretty soon we found a way out. Percy called in Blackjack, his black pegasi. I jumped on, and held onto his waist(Percy's). "Camp Half-Blood." Percy told him. It looked like Blackjack nodded, and once we took off, I thought of Luke and how I betrayed HIM. But I don't know what i'd do if I lost Percy. Really, I don't. Finally we reached camp. Percy thanked Blackjack, then I lead him over to the back of the cabin area, near the forest. I sighed, and he looked at me again. His voice was still a little raspy, but I could understand. "Luke?" he asked. "Janus made me choose." He looked like he was thinking. "Okays." He looked a little annoyed. "Why didn't you choose him?" he fixed. "I... couldn't bare to lose you, too." I finally confessed. Then, before I knew what I was doing, I kissed him passionatley. "I would do the same," he said after we pulled away. I smiled, and we went to the big house.
