PERCY'S POV
Disclaimer: I wish I owned it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yeah, i'm in Elysium, and yeah, I feel 16 again, but what I saw this morning made me feel like I was 30.
FLASHBACK:
I was walking to the cruise line, when I heard Rachel and Annabeth's voices. "NO, he's mine!!!" (Annabeth) "I'm pretty sure you two never dated!!!" (Rachel) "We asked each other out! You never went THAT far!!!" (Annabeth, again) "I will marry him!!" Rachel vowed. "No, you won't, you worthless mortal!!" Annabeth shouted, pulling Rachel's hair out. "OW!!!" Annabeth smiled. "Give up?" "Never." Rachel body slammed Annabeth into the dewy grass. I never thought THEY ld EVER, i'm talking never even when all three of us were dead, fight over a clueless son of Poseidon. "GUYS, what IS this for??" I walked over, and helped Annabeth up.
(I'm pretty sure I was never cool enough for two girls fighting over me) Annabeth glared at Rachel, who glared at Annabeth and I, who were holding hands at the moment. She looked furious. "I thought this was Elysium, not the fields of punishment," I mumbled under my breath. I hugged Annabeth and Rachel, then ran to the glittering lake, to give myself a rest. I saw Rachel and Annabeth arguing and pointing at me. Grover had trotted over and talked about Rachel and Annabeth both liking me, and having their hearts crumble everytime I spent too much time with the other. "Jealousy?" I guessed. Grover shook his head. "More then that."
END FLASHBACK
I thought about what Grover had said. Me? Two? Girls? Annabeth? Rachel? Grover's fortune cookie wisdom? Enchiladas and Nachos? I got very conufused, and the situation, since I shared a warm and cozy condo with BOTH of them, sleeping with Annabeth, watching certain channels with Rachel late into the night, just made it worse. Oh, look, bedtime.
ANNABETH'S POV
I was going to win Percy. I knew him long before Rachel did, and he was always there for ME. I tend to get very territorial about my friends, especially people like Luke (kinda got over him.) and Percy. I got ready and slipped into the bed, watching Percy as he wished us goodnight and fell asleep holding me. It felt pretty good. I slowly closed my eyes, ready to have fun with Percy the next morning, and battle Rachel for the spot as Alpha female, because Percy had taken to being the Alpha male, and Luke was in the room next door with Thalia, who had given up her maidenship during the war to help. I glared at Rachel the next morning. She was reading Elysium Daily, and drinking a cup of Mocha Latte. I was sitting across from her, and Percy was next to me, ignoring both of us, knowing we'd battle again. He handed me a plate, and started on his eggs and bacon. I took some bacon out of the frying pan, and returned to my seat, resuming to glaring at Rachel, who was talking to Luke about the Elysium annual Bar- B- Que that would be hosted by Luke, Percy, and Rhea, the mother of the gods. She loved that Bar- B- Que. But what I was sure of was that her essence was somewhere, and her body resided here. I mean, after all, she is immortal. A bunch of mortals were stetting up the decor, and preparing the music. I heard a faint play of the song, Get Ready for this, that one I usually heard when stuff was basketball-related. I was interupted by somebody shaking my shoulder. Percy. "Yeah?," I asked him. He smiled and pointed at the picnic area. I had forgotten- all of us had volunteered to set up the tables and food displays. "I'll get ready!" I muttered, getting up and heading to the restroom. (Luke was saved, but he was dead by the time he was good again. Weird, huh?)
We headed towards the porch, where the tables were leaning on the railing. All of us split up, Percy and Luke in charge of setting up the tables, Rachel, me, and Thalia in charge of the food. I chose the food itself, Thalia took to the utensils, and Rachel was busy in the kitchen preparing sodas and other drinks. I watched Percy push a table into position. When I looked back onto the porch, no tables were left.
He looked at me, and then at Rachel. I set the food onto the aligned tables, and added a little bit of confetti peices onto the tablecloth, then saw him helping Luke test the sound systems after the mortals (turns out they were actually hunters)
gave up and went to go pick desserts from the Elysium bakery. They really did have everything. "Keep yourself away, far away from me...." it boomed out.
I finished up and walked over. "Hey." Percy greeted me, looking up. I smiled.
He smiled back, then returned to testing. Rachel was just coming out of the kitchen, and Thalia was helping her bring out the huge assortment of drinks.
Grover trotted over, and pulled out a laptop. "Effects." was his excuse.
They really were effects. Lots of discoball lighting effects, making it look like the floor was glowing different colors, a bunch of moving spotlights.
Percy walked over for a moment, and we chatted for a few minutes, before Rhea came in to test the microphones. "Testing.. 123...."
I held his hand and walked back inside to get changed for the Bar- B- Que. It took a little longer than usual, since we had only one bathroom. I hoped Rachel knew Percy and I had been dating since before we died, and were STILL boyfriend and girlfriend. I wanted to make sure she knew that, and walked out with him to go to a furious red-headed girl named Rachel.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Percy: We really are still BF and GF, Rachel. Just give it up please.
Me: Ouch.
Rachel: Not until I don't see that blondie brat again.
Percy: Quit it!
Me: Read and review. Oh and Percy, your gonna be late for your date with Annabeth.
Percy: Gotta go!!
