Rose: Healing Kaku

Rose tried not to take Kaku very seriously as he fell over himself on more than one occassion. She listened to his story, and tried to keep track of what he wanted her to tell him in return. But her thoughts were distracted- he kept making subtle movements that belied his pain. She had a bad feeling that he was one of those cranky people who didn't like you Healing them without permission. She struggled with the choice of Healing him without permission or not.

Finally, as Kaku wound down with his story, he also fell onto the floor. He made a small joke, which started to make Rose think he would be fine. Right before he passed out.

"Oh bother!" Rose exclaimed. She was certain now that his tolerance for pain and his stubbornness was greater than even she had presumed. However, unconscious guests could not really hold a grudge for their hostess Healing them, could they?

Rose didn't take but a second to get onto the ground next to Kaku. She put one hand on his head and another on his chest, gently, and closed her eyes. She scanned Kaku first, taking inventory of his injuries. Twenty-two broken bones. Three non-lethal but non-minor internal injuries. Over sixty external lacerations. And four torn ligaments.

Sighing, Rose readjusted herself next to Kaku, and settled in for a bit of hard work.

"I'm glad you aren't conscious, my friend. This part hurts, too." Rose said, and took a deep breath.

A soft aqua-blue light emanated from Rose as she put her Healing abilities to the test again. Unlike with her last Healing dilemma, where Taran had been torn across the chest for no reason, the cause of the injury was external. In this case, though, the trauma had caused a ripple of problems internally as well, which had to be Healed very carefully. This Healing might not be as physically wearing on her, but it was apt to be more mentally and magically wearing.

Taran: The Man for the Job

As Lord Avondale explained the one missing piece to the puzzle so far, Taran simply nodded. He couldn't do anything about the rest for now- his guilt about Rose nor his anger at Lord Avondale and his decision, so all Taran could do was focus on what use he could be. This mission, about the dead come back to life. That, Taran had to deal with now. But he vowed to himself, to some day make things right by Rose... somehow.

He listened and nodded to Lord Avondale mention about bringing n** and some others over. That seemed fine. He was satisfied to wait for the moment. He just wished he wasn't preoccupied with how Rose was doing after Lord Avondale's interesting little procedure.

Se'rox: Decisions

As Zuchax III finally seemed comfortable with his new armor, Se'rox noted that he wasn't about to let this Xeona go as easily as the others had. He seemed interested in her- her story seemed to have gone astray since he last saw her.

So as he pinned her down and she begged he keep Se'rox from killing her, Se'rox dropped the fifty-pound ball of mud she had been creating just on the other side of the hedge. It fell with a huge splat.

So Se'rox listened as Zuchax III coaxed a story from Xeona, about why she joined the group. He threatened her, and Se'rox simply watched. Finally, he tried to fix the situation. It seemed that Nobodies were infamous for trying to fix problems of logic.

He suggested Xeona stay at Chazu's house and hide out. Then he asked Se'rox if she had a better idea.

Smiling- especially since Xeona had made the comment about her laughing- Se'rox walked toward her, and stopped within inches of her face. Then Se'rox began to circle her.

She spoke to Zuchax III.

"We can't let her go back to those Heartless Warriors. They know too much already, and she knows more than they." she paused. "She can't go home, it seems, for now. Which means her friends are safe, at least."

Se'rox stopped, after having circled her one and a half times, and spoke to Zuchax III from over Xeona's head. "And if these Heartless Warriors really do intend on trying to recruit me, a little insider information might be useful in changing their minds."

She grinned. "Plus, Kaku's house is kinda in the middle of a big mud pit. I think she could behave there." To make sure that Xeona hadn't somehow forgotten that Se'rox controlled mud, she softened the earth directly under Xeona's feet dramatically, and quickly, and Xeona sank two feet in the blink of an eye, before Se'rox slowly solidified the mud below her and she raised back up- a bit muddy for the experience.
