Chapter 6- Entrustment of Love
I got on Jamie's bike and peddled straight back to her house. I knocked on the door five times again. Logan opened the door and smiled at me. “are you still in pain Logan?” I said with concern. “No I am good now…When Austin attacked me he sort of hurt my leg.” He said frowning. I walked into Jamie's house with Logan following me. Me and Logan sat and talked about what Jamie said to me and then after an hour, I had to go. I didn’t want my brother freaking out again. I left Jamie's bike in the yard and walked home. As soon as I got home I checked the clock and it said 12:30 pm. I sat down on the couch and heard footsteps behind me. I turned around and it was Marichuyo. “Gah Marichuyo like scaring people much?” I said laughing a little. He shook his head and pulled me up off the couch. He whispered to me “have you decided yet?” I looked at him and shook my head. “Yes I have as a matter of fact.” I said smiling. “So who’s going to bite you Kairoyo?” he said going behind me. I hadn’t even thought about that at all. I felt his hand on my shoulder, he whispered in my ear; “Can I keep you?” I was speechless. I feel his breath on my neck about to bite me, but my phone rung. I pull it out of my pocket and Marichuyo sits down on the couch looking like as if he cant do a thing. The caller ID says Jamie. “Hello?” I say answering my phone “ I need to talk to you Kairoyo…right now.” She said then hung up. “Marichuyo I will be right back. I promise.” I said walking out the door. I ran right down the street and up the stairs and Jamie was there in the doorway. “I need to talk to you about your decision Kairoyo.” She said frowning. “Ok what about it?” I said sitting down on the steps. “Uh…I…uh dont think you should join the vampires. I don’t understand why you would conspire against someone who’s going to try to attempt to take over the human race… It just doesn’t sound like you Kairoyo.” She said sitting down next to me. “Well I…want to be with my family…but I want to help the humans and everything but….Marichuyo…” I say looking down “Yes but how could you let that bloodsucker do that to you?” she said looking straight at me. “I…really don’t know..” I said still looking at the ground. “think about things before you do them Kairoyo. I had to make the decision and it was bad on me just as it was you…just make the right one.” She getting up. “I am going to have to make this decision by myself Jamie, you cant help me.” I said standing up. “I was just giving you advice and you might want to take it.” She said about to cry. I cant believe what I had just said to Jamie hurt her so much. Then Misyugo came out of the house. He comes down the steps and Jamie turns towards him with her eyes glistening with tears. Misyugo puts his arms around Jamie and looks at me and says, “What did you do to her?” I cant believe what I am seeing. The guy that I had loved so dearly didn’t even care about me…I felt heartbroken as if I never wanted to love again. “Kairoyo I don’t understand how you can act like you don’t care about me or her anymore? How could you let some bloodsucker do that to you?” he said still holding Jamie. Before I knew it I was crying, not tears of sadness but the tears of hate. “Because I love him…more than I ever loved you.” I said still crying. “Then this shouldn't bother you.” He said. He kissed Jamie on the lips. I felt like my fist was on fire, I wanted to breathe smoke, I wanted to destroy him and let him rot in the darkest basement. Jamie pushed away from Misyugo and looked at him in surprise. I couldn’t bear to sit and watch them make out or do something else that involved kissing. I ran all the way home and fell straight on the couch when I got there. Marichuyo sat down next to me “Is anything wrong Kairoyo?” he said putting his hand on my shoulder. “do you remember Misyugo, Marichuyo? I said looking at him with tears in my eyes. “Yea…did he do something to you?!” he said angrily. I couldn’t say it…I started to bawl. He put my head on his chest and said crooning to me “it will be ok Kairoyo…I am here for you…forever…cause only I can love you forever.” I smiled and felt his teeth sink into my neck and I slowly fell asleep.
