Forever Gone
His hunger, lust, now overcame his reason
The mask had molded him into a different being,
An alien of nature.
He is never satisfied with what he has
Always wanting more.
The menu for today has changed
It is vulnerable humanity he is craving.
Two have already been murdered by him and his tribe’s hands
He only wants one more, whose head
Will, he hopes, become his trophy
Of those who would dare disobey his rule.
Gone is his sympathy for humanity
Gone is his willingness to preserve democracy
Gone is his sanity and reason that had made him human
All gone.
