Rose vs. Myuu: Deep Powers
Rose, her back pressed up against the wall and her feet dangling quite a few inches off the ground, stopped grasping at the hand that was crushing her throat. Her eyes drifted closed.
Myuu smiled as Rose's hands dropped, and her eyes shut. Though he usually liked it when his victims' eyes lay open, lifeless, and startled, he didn't care much at this point. But he wasn't about to let her go just yet- a few more seconds ought to ensure his victory. However, he did look back over his shoulder, at the unconscious Flan on the ground. His poison was keeping her from reviving completely, but he was annoyed at her otherwise healthy condition. He would have to fix that next.
But Myuu shouldn't have looked away. Rose, after closing her eyes, was pulling her strength. She had been fighting without the wish to kill- which limited her. Now she drew on her demonic powers fully, along with her limited Holy powers and kitsune abilities (she still needed to train those before she could use them better).
It was only a moment, and Myuu turned back to make sure his job with the fairy girl was done. He dropped her, of course. But not because she was dead, as he thought she should have been by now. But because now the girl was glaring at him. Her aura had changed almost completely. That sea-foam green was there, but almost covered by the black, and there was also a white, and a reddish orange.
Too much![/] he thought. She's got... three, four auras? And... is that a Holy aura? Myuu back up a few steps.
Rose stood up, seemingly unaffected by her inability to breathe for the four minutes until Myuu had dropped her. Her lip still bled, and her eye was still black. There was bruising showing up around her neck, as well. But it was going to take a whole heck of a lot more to kill Rose than that.
She flew at Myuu, and a shadow-dagger appeared in her left hand. Myuu dodged to the right- which she anticipated as she rolled mid-flight and threw the dagger at him. It hit his exposed side and stuck.
Myuu pulled out the dagger as Rose started at him again. Myuu bent to one knee, but Rose still hit him head on. She punched him in the side at his wound, and as he crumpled, she re-summoned her air-hammer, and knocked him upside the head about three or four times.
Myuu tried to scramble away, but there was an odd feeling to his wound. Like it tried to pull him to the ground*. He ducked out of one or two hits with the substantial hammer- the one he thought was gone for good, but apparently wasn't. But he wasn't done yet.
He kicked the girl in the chest, and she fell back off him. He stood back up- more difficult than usual. He summoned his own force to make himself a quick shield. He didn't want to fight this... creature. She was not just a fairy-thing. She was some kind of... magical mutt! And an abomination, if he was right, as she was demonic and holy? Either way, his side was searing with pain, and he was done with this game. He wanted Dragon, not this... mad magical mutt.
As she regained her footing, Rose raised an air-bow and began to shoot air-arrows at Myuu. She wanted him to become a pincushion- and now. However, her arrows were deflected within a foot of their target. He had some kind of shield. She didn't like it, but she waited to see what he would do next.
Noticing the thing had stopped for a moment, but was still waiting to get to him, Myuu glanced over at Flan. She was looking quite pale- an affect of the poison, of course.
"Well, mutt. We can have another round, if you'd like. But don't expect a cheering section if you do- your friend won't outlive the battle. Poison, you see." he said, and kind of shrugged, as if to say that he couldn't help it, or that it hadn't been as if she'd asked him if Flan's injuries were more than what were visible.
Rose looked at Flan- and he was right. "Bloody hell!" she cursed, and, giving one more untrusting look to Myuu, ran over to her. Flan didn't respond, and she should have by now, unless the monster was telling the truth. She was poisoned.
Rose looked back at Myuu- but he wasn't there.
Half-rising, Rose looked all around. He was nowhere in sight, nor was his aura. He was gone.
Myuu kept running, as fast as he could. The damn wound slowed him down still... thing made him feel like he should be plastered to the ground, despite his great powers. But he was away, and alive. He would heal, and he would destroy Dragon yet. Just... not the magical mutt.
