Life story…

Whispers in the dark, shadows jump across the walls, my heart begins to race.
They call my name softly, invading my dreams, “open your eyes.”
What they want I still do not know, I keep my eyes shut, hoping they’ll stray..
My body goes into a trance as I bring out the blade, time to chase them away..
Slowly sliding the blade, cutting to forget the day.
Watching as the blood begins to trickle, smiling as I feel the pain.

They watch for the tears that will never come.
The heart is already dead, their will be no show.
As I open my eyes, I see their faces.
As they invade my body, my mind defaces.
I open my mouth to scream, but nothing escapes.


As I fall into blackness, hands find nothing but air,
My hand falls back, as I scream, there is no one to hear my plea.
As my body hits the ground, I allow the night to take me.
I close my eyes, as I push in the blade,
My lips releases a small laugh, as the light fades.
