.....It was a dark, dreary April night. Cold and wet from the constant rain. The silent rickety tattered white house now only had one occupant. lucilia sat in a rocking chair on her front porch. The last of her family had died the night before. Lucilia had found her husband, Cole, with another in their bed a week before. She couldn't understand why Cole would have been unfaithful to her. She had given him everything, had she not? She did what ever he had asked, she was faithful to him, and only him,so why had he betrayed her? When she found Cole and their house-keeper in bed together she did the only thing she could think of. The house-keeper Ally, had always eaten dinner with them, so it only took little thought as to how she would take care of what had happened. Lucilia had gone into town with Ally to get some things they had needed. ....."I think we have rats in the basement." Said Lucilia. ....."I haven't seen any, Mrs. Thomas." Replied Ally. ....."Well I would feel better if we set out something to get rid of them." ....."Very well. We shall stop by to get some before we leave town." .....Lucilia mad dinner that night. She added some poison into their soup and took it out to them. She then went back into the kitchen to get her own. A few hours after dinner, both Cole and Ally were dead. Lucilia dragged them to the basement door and pushed Ally down the stairs and then Cole. Once they were in the basement she drug them over towards the spare bed they had kept down there. Lucilia lifted them one by one onto the bed. She went over to Cole's tools and took out a hammer. She brought the hammer above Ally's face and as hard as she could, brought it down crushing her nose into her face. Blood slowly seeped down her face. Lucilia went over to the table once again and grabbed Cole's saw. She made a deep slash across Cole's throat. She continued to make cuts across both of their bodies until neither of them were recognizable. .....Lucilia slept late into the following night awaken by the hoot of an owl. She was sitting in her rocking chair. She heard the front door open and then her husband's voice. ....."Dear, what are you still doing out here?" Lucilia turned and looked up at him eyes wide in confusion. "I-I don't know." .....She placed her hand on her cheek. her skin felt like fire compared to what it should have been on that cold night. Cole walked over to her and helped her stand. ....."You probably just fell asleep again. I swear it seems to be happening more and more. I'm starting to wonder if you like that dream world more than the real world." Cole shook his head and lead her inside. The only thing Lucilia could think was, "More than you know."
