Okay. So I've noticed them for a while, but last night's really stood out. I've had this... series of dreams. Every single one of them involve war or fighting in one way or another. Every one of them have this feeling of an epic battle. And no matter how many times I wake up inbetween (thank you alarm clock =.= ), I put my head back down and I immediately fall back into the dream like there was never an interruption. This doesn't happen with any other dream I know of.
But last night's... really... really got to me. Really touched my heart. I know it's stupid and it may never happen, but... I guess even my dreams are trying to tell me what I hope for.
Okay, that sounded really cheesy. Still.

Last night's dream was different because... Engel was in it. That wasn't remarkable in itself; I dream about Engel a lot. And he's in almost every single one of these war dreams. The one last night though....
It was a battlefield. We were all waiting on a battlefield. I know that my whole family was prepared to fight. I could feel it, and I knew they were there, even if I couldn't see them. But there was... Engel. And he was on a horse. And I was on a horse. So we were both on horses; we've established that. Don't ask how they got there or where they came from cuz I don't know. It's a dream, remember? Anyway. I was on his right side. And I remember, very distinctly thinking: He's not telling me to go home. He's letting me fight by his side.
That's what really got to me. Even in a dream, Engel... Engel acknowledging that I was good enough to fight by his side... it made me so happy, and even in the dream, I swelled with pride. And... and at one point in the dream, when we were preparing our ranks for the onslaught...
Engel turned to me, and smiled. And asked "Are you ready?".
I smiled, and I nodded, and we turned to face the enemy...

And then I woke up. =.=
