I CAN'T ********' BELIEVE THIS BULLSHIT!

I have this midterm for Photography II, yeah? This midterm requires a shutter speed that is anywhere from 10 - 30 second exposure. The point is to 'paint with light' by using a dark room and waving a pen light in front of the lens and see what comes out when the shutter finally closes.

But, whats that? OH! How lovely, my camera can only manage 5 seconds at best! Looks like I'll just have to rent one of the school's cameras over the weekend.

Come again? I can't rent a camera over the weekend unless I pick it up on Saturday? No problem! I'll just hop into my car right after work and haul my a** up before you close at 4:00 pm.

Oh...? REALLY? There's no camera's left to rent when I show up? NOOOO, I'm totally FINE! I'll just rent one Tuesday after class and get the work done then.

Hmm? OH s**t! I have no manual for this thing! Well I'm good with technology and Cannons have very similar functions to my sony, so I should be able to figure it out.

...Interesting...By fiddling with this thing for a few minutes, I've been able to set just about everything BUT the shutter speed. At best I can get blurred 2 second shots. Guess I'll go online and see what I can find for tips and digital manuals.

Oh that's...somewhat expected... The only digital manual I find that is in-depth doesn't really touch the shutter speed controls and only shows me how to make it faster. And everything else is... reviews on the camera's 'amazing' functions... Thanks Google...

Well GOSH GOLLY GEE! This midterm is due tomorrow and I completely lack the equipment to get it done! What a kick in the pants! And to top it off, I'm gonna show up to class anyway and suffer some good-'ol embarrassment at being a complete and utter failure, because the kind of s**t I'm used to hearing is that I should have been smart enough (and rich enough) to buy the right camera for myself when I started classes! Oh, but then that's what the rentals are for: students who CAN'T get that kind of equipment.

--Would this be the proper situation for me to kick, scream, and bite to defend myself? I believe so.


*sigh* What pisses me off most is that I was actually looking forward to this assignment. I mean, come on! Extended exposure that causes the movement of light to form lines and images? I could have spelled out my name or even outlined a TARDIS or something! This seriously blows!
