There are the times when the road goes on
And I’ve realized another thing in my life that is gone

Just words full of a girl not trying to show fright
A girl who knows more than you’d think
And little by little her heart shrivels and shrinks
As one by one they leave her life
Until she sits all alone again with that little black knife
