Tuesday. Wednesday. Thursday. All of those days passed by the same way: Waking up, getting to class, Oz being carefree as usual, Not-ok Emily being herself but the only odd difference was Arianna. She may have been sweet but to me she gives off an evil, somewhat sinister feeling.
Friday. Last day of the weekdays. Its what most people look forward to but for me it wasn’t. Now I am scarred of everything: My pale friends, Arianna, that pale other me. Anything more and it’ll drive me mad! All this frustration, worrying and fear is not what I need at this moment.
While my thoughts gave me a headache I heard someone behind “Emily! What have you done?!” It sounded like Melanie but when I looked around the corner to my second period class I only saw Emily facing the wall. “Melanie….I cant talk now…” I saw her say to the wall. After blinking and starring at the wall for a moment I thought I was crazy but taking a closer look I saw what she was really talking to. A shadow shaped figure, that slowly came out of the wall. I could feel my eyes grow wide as the pale body of Melanie slithered from the 3-D shadow “Melanie! Someone might see you! You know what they will do if anyone finds out about us” Emily hiss with panick.
Not bothering to hear the rest I bolted down the hall as quick as my legs could manage. While running my mind reviewed every image from that moment along with confusion and frustration ragging in my skull. Part of me wanted to smile and go crazy about how cool that was but sanity hit me first.
Finally after running for so long I got to my second period classroom. “What’s wrong?” Raymun asked. Of all people to see Raymun pops up out of no where! I looked up and saw his worried expression with a small sad smile. Seeing him with such a sad face made me feel like my heart was breaking in two but I held myself together “what’s up? W-Why haven’t we seen or talked to each other?”. I asked nervously laughing lightly. Raymun’s smile faded as he walked to his desk “Well….Its hard to explain”. Once he said that I couldn’t help but stop walking and the hallways scene came back to me “Alice~!” speaking of her, Emily came skipping in with a polite innocent tone.
“Hey Alice. You ok?” Melanie asked popping out of no where behind me. I screamed of fright and practically turned white when I thought of Melanie coming out from the shadow. Seeing her pale complexion forming from the creepy corner made me freak out in my head, but her voice broke my thoughts “Alice?” she sounded as if she had been calling me countless times “S-Sorry” was all I said before rushing to my seat.
When I got into my cold seat I could feel their eyes on me “Alice what wrong?” I heard Oz ask from in front of me “Alice…please talk to me…..”. I heard sadness and need in his voice but nonetheless my mouth stayed shut.
Second period seemed short, probably because my mind was filled with the situation im dealing with.
Walking down the ha;; never felt so tiring before. Feeling exhausted was weird, but to top my exhaustion I had a headache. Once more Oz popped up by my side “alice you don’t look good. What’s up?” he got closer and looked like he tried to put his arm around my shoulders. Suddenly my anger began to grow and I clenched my teeth. With my emotions running out of control I could feel my face warm up “OZ! I CANT TELL YOU!!” I yelled at the top of my lungs. My eyes starred into his while everyone in the hall looked at me. After venting my anger through yelling I started feeling lightheaded. “Alice…” Oz spoke as if he was guilty of something but my vision blurred and everything went black.
